Even if the actors are straight and the same race, and different genders, is it ethical for the producers or directors of a show or writers or whatever to make them do this? I think it's unethical unless they are over 18.IMO. If they are underage they are not old enough to consent to do it. Obviously it goes for films also. An actor playing a person younger than 18 can do it, as long as the actor or actress is at least 18. Imo. But you think what? I think it would make me feel uncomftorble to see something like that, expecially considering it would probably be unnecessary to even have that in the story. Do you know what I mean? If they are going to have a story where someone younger than 18 would have a kissing scene, and they are 15 or 16, their character is like 15 or 16 fine, just get an 18 year old to do it, the audience wouldn't be able to tell the difference most likely. And then the actors and the audience wouldn't feel uncomftorble while watching it. I personally would go out of my way to watch any show that was unethical enough to do something like that. I would actually accept it if the actors were at least 17. Because that's one year away from 18 so who cares. But if we are talking about the actors themselves being less than 16 NO WAY! IMO! But would you actually condone something like this?

Why would you wonder that, it's actually a good question considering that in almost all American made films they make sure the actors are at least 17 if they do anything like that in film or television. Even if the actors characters are younger than 17 or 18. If you look at these examples. Smooth talk, Laura Dern is 20 playing a 16 year old Lolita, Dominique swain is 17 but playing a 13-15 year old Kids, 1995 actors that were between 21 and 18 played 14-16 year olds Romeo and Juliet 1968 Juliet was 13 but the actor was 17, and yea I know that's an old example so they got away with more back then. Standards were slightly different in 1968? Murmer of the heart actor was 16 playing a 15 year old, and yes he did make out with his characters mom on camera and was implied that he "had sex" with her off screen in the film, but this example is from 1971 and a foreign film, so standards were different in this example. But i'm talking about the modern age of t.v. and cinema here. So it's actually a good question that I brought up. Do you know why they make sure the actors are at least 17? Because if they were younger it would be gross. And unethical.

They want to promote miscegenation in the West like mad.
The fact that they wouldn't take the actors unwillingness into consideration says it all.
But considering the fact that there is a real pedo problem in Hollywood this doesn't seem like the main issue to be considered. Mad folk run Hollywood.

on second thought, as long as they take the actors wishes into consideration, ok. But if not, i'm not ok with it. If it's a situation where the story absolutely depends on it or the actors are underage but they are truly willing to do it, then ok. If any one of those things are not met, then fuck it, i'm not ok with it.

I think it's ethical as long as both the actors consent but Hollywood has an ongoing problem with sex predators...it would be safer for them to lay off romantic scenes until they're of legal age or old enough to see if they've made the right choice. There are countless of talented children who just want to share their talent with the world but sadly they cant make a name for themselves without doing whatever their creepy filmmaker asks. Plus, child actors already get more attention than they need...they don't need a bunch of grown@$$ adults swarming for selfies and whatnot.
