Many said I was full of crap when I contended that Han's loving touch as he died did more to weaken Kylo late in TFA than anything else that was going on. I don't think that message is about to go away, Johnson kept the important parts going.

Just glad that was one point made more explicit.

I don't think that message is about to go away, Johnson kept the important parts going. Han's loving touch did nothing to weaken Kylo Ren. He still chased after Rey and Finn and told them his father could no longer save them. It was MaRey Sue who destroyed Kylo Ren's lightsaber before knocking him on his ass. Luke's line is just that - a line. How was Han still with him?

Why would they say that when it was explicitly stated in the novelization? Pople that haven't read the novelization? I don't think it's even out yet. Is it? I thought it was due in like April.

Why would they say that when it was explicitly stated in the novelization? I care what they bothered to put in the movie, not some novel. Indeed, it should have been included in the movie if we were supposed to believe it was a legitimate part of the movie. It is not in the movie. At all. I'd be interested to know if adding it to the novel was a retcon, but I am not familiar with the print schedule, nor am I interested in doing the required research. When I read it in the novel, it felt like a retcon.
