No. Tom Selleck would have been good as Indiana Jones. He was their first choice for the role. Harrison Ford was cast because Tom Selleck could not accept the role due to contractual obligations with Magnum P.I.

I wonder IF he had lived and thus was still alive during the time of 'Dallas' what Jeffrey Hunter would've been like in the role of JR Ewing?

I wonder IF he had lived and thus was still alive during the time of 'Dallas' what Jeffrey Hunter would've been like in the role of JR Ewing? Jeffrey Hunter was the first Captain of the USS Enterprise- www.imdb.com/title/tt0059753/trivia?ref_=tt_ql_2From trivia- Leonard Nimoy's Mr. Spock was the only character from the first pilot retained into the series. More than one pilot was filmed. This episode was not aired until after the series was over. This first pilot was not aired on TV until 1988, when it was used as a filler episode for Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987) due to a writers strike. Captain of the Enterprise? Perhaps. J.R. Ewing? No.
