Yes, in that they have powers normal users do not. But since certain people have pre-existing issues with authority it matters little how well or how bad admins and moderators behave. And often matters little if you stay within the rules. |

Its like the sort of question a thief would ask: Do you have friends at any shopping malls that are security guards? Or do you expect them to call the cops on you when they bust you stealing? |

It depends on how involved they are in the conversations, how much I'm involved and whether or not we "hang" around the same threads on the site. In the case of the larger more established boards, NO. In the case of some of the smaller more specialized boards yes to some extent.
For instance I collect trading cards, and am active on a few sites now. A few sites have come and gone, a few have merged. On some of them it is hard not to interact with the admins, on some of the others one wonders who they actually are.
