Come on philly fans. For maybe the first time ever most of America is pulling for the eagles to win. Don't make us rethink it. No reason to bash the vikings. Bash the patriots instead. You're right. Let them hate. Time to move on.... I mean - we didn't even give one second thought to the Atlanta playoff win ....... I agree that we shouldn't bash Minnesota fans. I haven't thus far, but I gotta ask - do Vikings fans whine this much in the years that the Packers beat them? I'll say this about all the NFC East teams - we all hate each other but we take as much as we give. I don't recall Cowboys, Redskins, Giants, and Eagles fans being like that when one loses to the other. Sure there's trash talk, but it's like EXPECTED. Toughen up you northerners. |

I was only aware of this now from DSDs post above and then I tuned into Missanelli today at 2:00pm and it was a 'side note' at the end of his opening minutes after after talking about the Super Bowl and how much fun this has been - I've said this since Wentz went down - this is all gravy and fun. Hell - I've gotten roasted on here for stating I hope the Cowboys, Giants and Redskins are 'good' when the Birds fall so it makes the next season that much more fun. Do I ' ROOT' for the Cowboys, Giants or Redskins? Hell no. It's not about that. I despise them being an Eagles fan - but it makes the rivalry better when they're good - do I cry about the other city being trash because their team may be better than ours? Bad look Minnesota. But honestly - I don't know if you would even consider this a 'choke job'. It's just that they let an entire city, region, state, etc. down. If they won that game - they'd host the Super Bowl in their own stadium. Try and grasp that. They'd host the Super Bowl in their own stadium AND THEY GOT THEIR A$$ KICKED HERE. While all of that is true and EVERYONE outside of Philly does hate the city and the people who live there............ hmmmmm I forgot my point. Oh wait they make a damn fine sandwich. As long as you don't get the nasty cheese whiz version. hey - i'm in agreeance here - think people ignorantly just direct tourists to Pats and Genos for Steak-umms and Cheeze Wiz since it's cheap, fast and sloppy (kinda of like the women in downtown Boston - Hi-OOOO!!!)...... you want a real cheesesteak? where you need to go is that Italian Pizza shop on the corner at 2:00am on a Monday night where you leave your wife, kids and belongings at home. look at this fatboy baby! woooooooo!!!!!  Damn that looks tasty. I always wondered if philly natives actually ate that steak um cheese whiz abomination. I'm a cheese, steak and onions only guy myself. No peppers or mushrooms for me. |

Colts: 1 Super Bowl title Eagles: i'll sound like a d*ck times ten. i know he was a cancer survivor. it was a nice heart warming story we all wrapped our arms around. sometimes in life change is good. it's happened here numerous times. andy reid. you're a hockey fan - hitchcock here with the Flyers - hell - how often did Mike Keenan still get jobs too. sometimes you just stop listening to a coach. flip that dumpster fire over. start at the bottom and work your way up. as an Eagles fan - and I'll sound like a d*ck again - you'll have to excuse me - i love Frank Gore shunning us a couple of years back after it was initially reported by numerous he was all but inked and the paper wasn't dry yet... cheers Frank |

They had a fan in New Jersey, over three miles from the stadium, go on Twitter and record the sounds he heard. You could hear the Eagles chant from the stadium over three miles away. These are real fans. We love our team. If they put on the performance that the Vikings did, we would be bashing our team all week. What do Vikings fans do? Cry and complain about Philly fans. I have not heard one Vikings media outlet actually call out their team in any way. Drunk people are dicks at every stadium. As I stated earlier, people get shot and stabbed in California outside of games and they just do that for fun. They sure do not have passion in Cali for their teams, from what I have seen. I have seen plenty of videos on social media of Vikings fans getting arrested, throwing punches, spitting at fans, etc. It went both ways. There were just way more Philly fans there. Get over it. Blame your team for the loss. We are somehow the worst fans in sports but have you ever seen a visiting team take over one of our stadiums? |

What's funny to me is that Philly guys in this thread don't understand why Vikings fans are upset. "We're used to people acting like assholes, toughen up!" The fact that this behavior is typical in your eyes pretty much says it all. Clearly Minnesota fans had never experienced anything like it, or they wouldn't be talking about it as much as they are.
