This one has alluded me for a long time. It may have been a made for TV movie. Probably late 70's early 80's but it may have been earlier than that.
Here's everything I remember.
It takes place in contemporary times. There a ship with a small crew looking to recover sunken treasure (or something) from shark infested waters. There are under water diving scenes with sharks getting hit with "bang sticks". The Captain of the ship is an older guy but proves to his crew that he is in shape by demonstrating a weird form of push-ups with his arms extended far forward of his shoulders.
A group of bad guys (pirates?) take over the ship with intent of stealing whatever the treasure is.
Here is where it gets fuzzy. I could have sworn that the leader of the bad guys was played by Roger C. Carmel but I can't find it on his IMDB page so I may be wrong about the actor.
The leader of the bad guys is a brutal man who abuses at least one of his own men. Also, he has a fist fight with the Captain of the ship. I think the bad guys all end up getting killed one way or another (at least one gets a bang stick to the back iirc).
I think there is a scene where a life boat gets tipped over by a large shark.
Does this ring any bells for anybody? Thanks.

Sharks' Treasure 1975, might be the one. Cornel Wilde did a lot of things to show that he was still fit in that one. Roger C Carmel and Cliff Osmond actually have some similarities .
Check it up, it might be the one...

teleadmYes! I think that is it. I'm surprised that I did not remember that it was Cornel Wilde in the starring role. I was so young when I saw it that I probably wasn't aware of him yet. Thanks.
