 i knew there was going to be a troublemaker and 'cheater' amongst us. you get to pick either pancakes or french toast....... ... I did sadly - that's how much i disrespect Waffles - they're an afterthought to me. but to me - French Toast is Filet Mignon and is not even in the discussion even though it's in the back of your mind like an old flame you can't get back. However there are 'Waffle Houses' appearing everywhere. Where are the old school IHOPS? - 'International House of Pancakes'? Waffles???!? A tasteless brick? No thank you. Anybody ever try a 'McGriddle' from McDonalds? I'm sure it's 12,450 calories - but it's pretty much pancakes and syrup as rolls over sausage, egg and cheese - and it's pure heaven! |

I'm getting the sense that people have argued about this topic before. it's a raging debate that never dies.... can go on for years.... and how do you like your 'cakes/waffles? butter? syrup? fruit? chocolate chips and blueberries? spare me the 'flare' - gimme my 'Cakes with just mounds of syrup and I'm set Baby!  |

Nice Reference Thought I was going to be linked back to the old ESPN Philadelphia Phillies boards where this topic raged on until the boards dying seconds I just don't get all of these 'Waffle Houses' today  gimme some 'Cakes - and a some bacon or sausage - throw in some eggs and home fries if you want  |

I like waffles the best, they are tastier IMO and I like their texture. Pancakes and French Toast are good as well though.

Waffles definitely.
But i do enjoy both.
Not the frozen kind tho...frozen pancakes or waffles are a huge step down from homemade.

I prefer the crispier texture and the pockets of a waffle are much better vessels for the syrup and whatnot. interesting. interesting indeed.... however can i argue you can also get that same crispy texture and 'pocket' so to speak; albeit at a lesser extent from a cracker, biscuit or waiver? i'm one who lives by 'live and let live' and 'to each their own'; however i'd just like some clarification from 'waffle' fans here.......... |
