Frog's breakfast poll has got me hankering for some more food-talk. Chicago style vs New York style. What's your choice?

Frog's breakfast poll has got me hankering for some more food-talk. Chicago style vs New York style. What's your choice? I'll take deep dish any day of the week if you have a gun to my head. That being said - I love Alllllll pizza. You can't go wrong with a 'white' veggie thin crust. Here's what I do - haters can hate. Lil Caesars has these deal now for a large $5 pizza. It's unheard of. You need to take advantage of gifts like this. Grab some brocolli, mushrooms, onions, green peppers, spinach, tomatoes on your own and put them on top - boom! There's your veggie pizza - eat it in moderation one slice a day and consume your veggies. Lil Caesars also has the 'Extra Most Bestest' Deal - it's loaded with Pepp and Cheese. You wanna get your protein in? Same deal - buy your own sausage and bacon and ground beef and dump it on top of this baby - one slice at at time - one slice a day - boom - protein bomb. The key is moderation peeps!

When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie... sweeettt!!! that first one looks more like a thick soupy pasta dish and the 2nd pick look like more of something a chick may order on a first date trying to impress her future inlaws..............i'll go with Door #1 with a Guinness and then be sitting on the toilet for an hour the next day at work

I too am a huge pizza lover of all kinds but I went deep dish here. I love cheese and want as much of it as possible. I don't care about having to use utensils to eat pizza as I'm accustomed to doing that anyway.

First of all, Deep Dish "Pizza" is not pizza. It's some weird, gross mixture of cheese Pot Pie and Tomato soup. So this is like asking "Tom Brady vs Cleo Lemon" Now that we got that out of the way...
Second of all, contrary to victims of marco style propaganda, the best thin crust pizza is not in New York. It's in North Jersey, Essex County mainly but pretty much everywhere(Hell, even Central Jersey). Italian immigrants came here and lived in Newark. As they rose up and time went by they moved North to the suburbs. Many eventually opened up businesses, including restaurants and pizzerias, with recipes and expertise from the old country that have been passed down.
New York may have the quantity, but we have the quality

Dude, I can't call it "Jersey thin crust". Sometimes you just have to go for a wider audience. Marone!

Oh, that's WAY up North. And that makes more sense to me than that Giants Stadium myth. I mean, why go through the trouble and risk of burying him in an NFL Stadium when you got a fucking swamp surrounding most of the area

I don’t have a horse in this race. On about equal terms I’ve desired all different types of pizza. It’s all good. I don’t find a big drop off from a top notch pizzeria to the frozen digiornio at the grocery store either. Pizza is pizza.

Thin crust, double sauce, plenty of veg, herbs, and spices, drizzle of oil, no cheese.

I'm 2nd generation Sicilian, so I'm partial to the thick, chewy, square Sicilian pizzas. My grandfather owned a pizza parlor here in New Orleans and I worked with him for a time making these fragrant, delicious beauties. Loads of 4 types of cheese, spinach, spicy Italian sausage, anchovies......just doesn't get any better!

There's no wrong answer when it comes to pizza, but my vote goes to deep dish.

I don't spend a ton of time in North Jersey to say definitively one way or another, but the basic idea is that once you escape the tourist traps of Times Square, any local corner store pizza place (like in North Jersey, Brooklyn and the surrounding areas) are going to be awesome. That's something I can get behind. And yeah, deep dish pizza is casserole, not pizza.

Thin NY crust, hot oil that can burn the top of your mouth, must be foldable.
