In honor of the upcoming Eagles vs Patriots Super Bowl, I've chosen what I believe to be the best Philadelphia movie and the best Boston movie and pit them against each other. You might have chosen different movies, but I'm not interested in that.
Which would you prefer to watch?
Love both but I went for The Departed. Score 1 for Boston.

The Departed (2006)
-The Departed (2006) - 7/10 (amongst My Favorite Movies(i.e. Top 193 movies)) -Rocky (1976) - 6/10 (a mild Thumbs Up)
both movies used to rank higher for me but they have since dropped off. but at their peak, The Departed still scored higher for me.

The Departed wins quite easily. Rocky is a good inspirational film but its pretty overrated.

Scorsese is one of my top 3 directors. The Departed is in my bottom 5 from his movies, i much prefer Infernal Affairs. And Rocky

I want to say The Departed, but I sure do a lot of fanboy stuff when it comes to Rocky (visiting the steps, learning the theme on the harmonica, etc). Since it's losing anyway, I'll throw it a bone.
FWIW, my favorite Boston movie is Good Will Hunting

Rocky. I've never even heard of The Departed before. It's got Matt Damon in it, so there is no chance I''ll ever watch it.
