Fun game and thanks for getting it all in before my shower. Different nurse today and I can bargain with him, but it costs me one of my precious Kind Roasted Jalapeño Protein Bars.

I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow out near Disneyland and I am going to have to bribe the driver to take me out for some real food, even if it is just Taco Bell. Last time we found a Perivian Food Truck.

I saw three C.B. DeMille movies yesterday
The Buccaneer (1938) was by far the best...Akim Tamiroff was very impressive in that movie. Lots of fun there..

Akim always a treat. He does the same the following year in DeMille's UNION PACIFIC. The three I saw yesterday were: 1) Madam Satan (1930) - absolutely terrible........ 2) The Buccaneer (1938) - absolutely great with richly drawn characters. I found March's French accent a bit off-putting at first but soon acclimated to it and got into his great character performance. Do you remember The Buccaneer (1938)--as a movie--appearing in another movie? 3) Reap the Wild Wind (1942) beautifully filmed (like eye candy) with a good story and great stars: Ray Milland, John Wayne, Paulette Goddard, Raymond Massey, Robert Preston, Susan Hayward, and (behind a red beard) Charles Bickford. Hedda Hopper was also in it, but missed her on first viewing. Wow, this movie had almost as many well-known actor as The Greatest Show on Earth (1952) or The Ten Commandments (1956).

A triv query -- what is the link from REAP THE WILD WIND to WAKE OF THE RED WITCH? I've never seen Wake of the Red Witch, but possible links might be John Wayne and giant octopus. It's funny how I am seeing all these movies about ship salvaging lately. A couple of weeks ago, I saw The Wreck of the Mary Deare (1959) and was fascinated by the story. To me, it held a lot of interest because it was hard to know what Gary Cooper was doing with (or about) that derelict ship and why he was sometimes working with Charlton Heston and sometimes working against him.

That's pretty good, Kijii. Duke done in both films by an undersea creature.
Next challenge -- try saying both titles side-by-side ten times FAST!
