Following the goalless first leg at Stamford Bridge I am mildly surprised that CFC go into this as slight favourites. Álvero Morata will be absent for the Blues because of a back injury while Fabregas has a hamstring problem which will see him play no part either. Giroud and Welbeck are out for Arsenal while new signing Mkhitaryan is cup-tied. Let's hope it's a more exciting affair than the indifferent meeting two weeks ago. Says Wenger, "The first leg was very blocked, the second leg will certainly be more open because at some stage the teams will have to open up to try to win the game. It should be much more spectacular than the first one." Conte, meanwhile, offers no clues on CFC's strategy this evening : "When you play against Arsenal, you must be prepared to suffer without the ball. They like to be offensive and bring many players in the box to find combinations between strikers-midfielders-wingers. We must pay attention and be compact." That's that sorted, then. Both sides performed well at the weekend with Arsenal blowing Palace out of the water with four goals in the first 22 minutes while Chelsea knocked a similar number past a hapless Brighton.
(90 mins) AFC 7/4 CFC 17/10 Draw 12/5
(outright) AFC 11/10 CFC 8/11

Bit of a damp squib after last night.
No buzz around this fixture.

Well, lookee here. From being ever so slight favourites over 90 minutes CFC now find themselves on a level betting pegging with AFC. Both now go off at 7/4 with the draw at 12/5. To reach the final, however, CFC remain odds on favs (8/11) against Arsenal at 11/10.
Arsenal: Ospina, Bellerin, Koscielny, Mustafi, Monreal, Elneny, Xhaka, Wilshere, Iwobi, Ozil, Lacazette. Subs: Macey, Chambers, Kolasinac, Maitland-Niles, Ramsey, Nelson, Nketiah.
Chelsea: Caballero, Azpilicueta, Christensen, Rudiger, Moses, Bakayoko, Kante, Alonso, Willian, Hazard, Pedro. Subs: Eduardo, Cahill, David Luiz, Zappacosta, Drinkwater, Barkley, Batshuayi.

Chelsea in 90 minutes I always hate the 2nd leg at home with the evil away goals
Already think we'll be a laughing stock next month at home v Porto

I fancy Arsenal tonight.
If only for the obvious reason: to give Arsene something to cling to.

Pedro splits the home defence wide open and feeds Hazard who slots it past Ospina on '7.

I hope Arsenal win.
After all, it will be more fun to see them lose in the final.

Monreal got up high on '11 and connected his probing head with the ball and fired it toward goal. It bounced first off Alonso's head and then ricocheted off Rudiger's and into the CFC net. It was a pinball pot that will be credited to the Arsenal man.
