No problem with any of those picks. Glad for Hoffman, I think he deserves it.

All deserving. I wish Edgar Martinez made it, he received 70.4%.
Mike Mussina - 63.5 Clemens - 57.4 Can't find Bonds' percentage but was less than 55%.

HOF tracker had Martinez at 77.4% with 58.5% of ballots known. Guess a lot of others didn't vote for him. HOF tracker has higher percentages for nearly everyone. Maybe late votes only have one or two selections? onedrive.live.com/view.aspx?resid=F2E5D8FC5199DFAF!8063&ithint=file,xlsx&app=Excel&authkey=!AAAsz3uDsmqy_Vw

I believe I heard that it is Martinez's last year next year - - that might give him the bump. Bonds was on at 56.4%. I'm surprised with the lack of love for Mussina. Looks like he might be following a path like Blyleven.

Next year might be the year for near misses. Unless I'm missing someone, Mariano Rivera is the only lock for 2019.

I don't think Mussina should get in, unless we change the name to The Hall of the Very Good.

I do not think Bonds and Clemens got enough increase to get in in the four years they have left. I believe all the people who are picking juicers are pretty much it. I could be wrong and I pray I'm not but I think they may eclipse 60% at most of the vote and fall far short.
The idiotic thing is how do Clemens and Bonds get so much votes and Manny does not? Or Sheffield?
As for unis:
Hoffman - Padres of course Chipper - probably the Braves, I'm going out on a limb Thome - Indians Vlad - Expos
Another Expo who will never have his number retired. Ridiculous.

Edgar I hope gets in. There are some slick fielders who didn't have much of a bat... & if offensive numbers are such a benchmark, as Thome can attest, why can't Edgar get in? He's one of the finer hitters to ever suit up.

Actually Bonds did flunk a test, it was during the "we don't tell the public" phase. The whole "he never flunked a test" should be stricken from any exuse ever. You know who else never flunked a test? Arod. Who else? McGwire. Who else? Canseco. I wish people would stop the "he never flunked a test" line. So these idiots should be rewarded because they cheated better than the other guys.

As for Pettitte, he should be in the Hall of Good with Mussina.
