John Mellencamp, known then as Johnny Cougar - "Chestnut Street Incident". A horrific album, be it first or last on a discography Challenge accepted. BRB.

I'm one of Radiohead's fiercest critics, but this statement is patently absurd. Can't say I've heard every album. OK Computer is aptly named. Really don't like The Bends, Kid A, and Hail to the Chief. Kid A is half-decent but everything after that sounds the same to me, and not in a good way.

The self-titled (mini-)album is one of their best IMO, the debut full length ( Confusion is Sex) is weak but still not their worst. I can see how either would have their detractors though especially among those used the Daydream, Goo, Dirty, etc.

I would say 'Always' by the Gathering. Their first two albums with a male singer were awful and the band didn't become popular until Anneke van Giersbergen joined and released 'Mandylion' and the band have even acknowledged it in interviews. Bob Dylan's debut album is another that comes to mind and I wouldn't say it is terrible but a lot of his fans have discarded it over the years and see 'The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan' as his debut.
