Thankyou, one of my favourite 'unofficial' Australian anthems and beautiful words.

Hi, goz Well, see, that’s the point. I was in a park in Bolton Landing, NY, years ago, when a woman suddenly screamed that line out. Everyone turned to look at her; she seemed embarrassed, said nothing, and walked off. I still haven’t found out what it meant, exactly!

Thanks Suzi. I celebrated by doing an 8 mile (14km) walk along Sydney Harbour in sight of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House and the heads to the harbour out to the Pacific Ocean, from Spit Bridge to Manly. It was quite hot and VERY humid. People were everywhere and enjoying the day, many dressed up and there was a wonderful atmosphere. www.sydneycoastwalks.com.au/spit-to-manly-walk/

What line! I couldn't see it? The “was that some kind of sick Australian joke?” line. OK, Got it! The MOST likely things are the things that most Americans think and say about Australia: such as The joke about Crocodile Dundee and the 'big knife'! The kangaroos jumping down the streets of our Capital cities ( though we DID have a swamp wallaby famously jump across the Sydney Harbour Bridge last week lol) The shrimp/(really a prawn) on the barbie The Vegemite thing and the koalas on Qantas flights....could have been anything really! Maybe it was pineapple and beetroot on a burger?

Happy Australia Day, Goz! Although, I might be a few hours late. The menu looks good, to me. It occurs to me that Australia Day might be an excellent time to visit. Summer weather, likely, brings a crush of tourists ... but, we would be tourists, so it's hard to complain. Some of my favorite "merry-band of travelers," will be together next week. I'll suggest it.

it was a solid marketing decision. What was? I should probably turn this into a form response ( ), but… It’s nausea (formerly “Bluebell,” formerly “Curly-Hair”), who only (or nigh-only) posts non-sequiturs. We enjoy them.

That would be fantastic Div. It is certainly really fun and I own and run a private AirBNB right beside the ocean.

What fun. It is up there with me having to explain why I always type butt for but, and it goes back to a private 'in' joke with another fellow poster with a silly sense of humour like me.
