"The Empath" just had a weird vibe to it. Somehow it gives me the creeps.
"The Way To Eden" was bad because of the hippie stuff, but the main plot wasn't too bad. Chekov's Girl was cute though.
"And The Children Shall Lead", was the worst. Children doing bad things because of an alien? Come On. Talk about a rip off of the pied piper. Just stupid.

I would also include Let That Be Your Last Battlefield, but it has a decent rating (7.2) on IMDb.

I have to go with The Alternative Factor. It's the only episode I really have a hard time sitting through.

I actually really like The Savage Curtain, Mudd's Women, and Trouble With Tribbles. I'd say Spock's Brain is easily the worst, even the actors said they hated filming that one.

Trouble with Tribbles is on at the end as a goof. Mainly wanted to see if people would pick it. I had Spock's Brain as the last choice on the "Best" episode list. My most hated is The Way to Eden.

Space hippies are cool, man! You're a bunch of Herberts!
I voted for The Alternative Factor.

And the Children Shall Lead, Catspaw, Mud's Women.
I don't love the episodes, but I didn't mind The Alternative Factor or the Savage Curtain.

I, Mudd is worse than Mudd's Women, which, along with Catspaw and That Which Survives, is just a harmless piece of fluff.

Spock's Brain hands down, no contest. Funny thing about that one. I didn't really know the show in college in the early 70s, but guys used to sit and watch religiously and you had to shut up to join in. Happened in and caught part of Spock's Brain and after said something about liking the show. They all wretched at me. Had to see the full episode to know why.

Hard choice. The network abandoned most quality writers for the 3rd season, which resulted in a variety of episodes that went from bad to just plain painful. But I went with The Empath, Spock's Brain and The Way to Eden.

I liked Savage Curtain and Lights of Zator Shari Lewis wrote The Lights of Zitar. That says a lot.

It's pretty stark, like a play without much of a set, and slow. I like it, but mildly. She's cute, too.

The Trouble on a list of worst episodes? WTF? Is the person who made this poll on crack or something?

I agree about "The Empath" and "And The Children Shall Lead". But I had to substitute "Plato's Stepchildren" for "The Way to Eden":

The Alternative Factor must be the worst. 50 minutes of incorehent scenes of the cast vomiting the most nonsensical technobabble of all time at each other and psychedelic wrestling matches that assault the senses between copies of a character who spends most of the time falling off cliffs, changing his beard thickness, and ranting and raving. I still don't get what happened at the end.
