I like films with some action in space and i'm wondering if there are any hidden gems out there i don't know about. It doesn't have to be sci-fi either. For example Apollo 13 and Gravity (non sci-fi), Aliens and Interstellar (sci-fi) I've recently seen a few films with space travel in (Enders Game and Europa Report) i'd not heard of before until i saw them recommended somewhere on here so does anyone have any space travel themed suggestions and hopefully there will be a hidden gem i've not seen amongst the replies  |

outrider127 I think "Life" is one of the few truly faithful movies that deals with modern (for now) space travel. It wasn't a perfect movie, but they nailed a current depiction of what life in a space station is like. I'd add to the list: -"Sunshine" - very good film, whether or not you like movies that take place in space -"The Europa Report" - this movie captures space on a '2001' level. You have to go with the doc/found footage element in some scenes, but they're not pervasive enough to ruin this tremendous film. It's been mentioned, but "Apollo 13" is one hell of a movie...and very attentive to the history and facts regarding that mission. Still my favorite launch scene in any movie.
