I like films with some action in space and i'm wondering if there are any hidden gems out there i don't know about. It doesn't have to be sci-fi either. For example Apollo 13 and Gravity (non sci-fi), Aliens and Interstellar (sci-fi) I've recently seen a few films with space travel in (Enders Game and Europa Report) i'd not heard of before until i saw them recommended somewhere on here so does anyone have any space travel themed suggestions and hopefully there will be a hidden gem i've not seen amongst the replies

Passengers, which was actually better than Catman expected. Granted, Catman really didn't expect much.

outrider127 I think "Life" is one of the few truly faithful movies that deals with modern (for now) space travel. It wasn't a perfect movie, but they nailed a current depiction of what life in a space station is like. I'd add to the list: -"Sunshine" - very good film, whether or not you like movies that take place in space -"The Europa Report" - this movie captures space on a '2001' level. You have to go with the doc/found footage element in some scenes, but they're not pervasive enough to ruin this tremendous film. It's been mentioned, but "Apollo 13" is one hell of a movie...and very attentive to the history and facts regarding that mission. Still my favorite launch scene in any movie.

I've seen Moon and the Riddick Series, the others are already in my watch list. I couldn't remember if Moon or the Riddick series had actual space travel in it or not
