They are basically an Asian bowl filled with a selection of the healthiest foods on earth with a carb base like brown rice/lentil/buckwheat, protein source such as lean chicken fish smoked salmon or tofu, and raw vegetables chopped ( such as shredded cabbage carrot radish pickled ginger soy beans red onion, seaweed, beets, capsicum, sprouts etc ) then an Asian sauce to moisten such as Wasabi Mayo or spicy soy and sweet chilli or some other wonderful Asian creation. They are yummy and exceptionally healthy. The sometimes top them with fried vege such as onion or toasted nuts for crunch. bondibeauty.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Pickeled-Poke-Bowl.jpg

Actually, it sounds like I can pick and choose the items that go into the bowl, so it may not be too bad.

Actually, it sounds like I can pick and choose the items that go into the bowl, so it may not be too bad. I think that is the point actually. I made one the other night and I put my fave things in it. It was brown rice base with cooked chicken, broad beans, peas chopped celery chopped mushrooms chopped shallots chopped capsicum and I covered it mixed in with a yummy sauce of curry mayonnaise. ( add quality curry powder to taste...I use Clive of India to mayo and lemon juice )

gozSounds rather like what is called "Mongolian grill" in some of the local Buffet type places ... pick the ingredients of your choice and then they put them on this huge flat super heated grill and stir fry them. I always get the sauce on the side because they tend to over-sauce things. Have to ask the manager to tell the cook/stirrer though because the c/s speaks little or no English and just smiles and nods when spoken to as he pours on the sauce by the bucket The raw version sounds promising ! No wasabi anything for me though
