Who here has an interest in nourishing their body and mind with fresh, nutritious tasty good and great recipes to achieve this?
I sense a general disinterest in some Americans, and others.
Is there a reason for this?
Is this type of food not available to the average American?
Is it too expensive?
Do Americans prefer to eat out as it is cheaper?
Do they have an interest in the quality of their food and not just the lure of fat sugar and salt?
Are health messages about the dangers of obesity, fat sugar processed foods and salt have any effect or do Americans renounce them because they can't be bothered or think that good health through diet is an extreme position?
I am genuinely curious and also concerned about these issues worldwide, though we here in Australia are starting to wind back with Jamie Oliver type celebrity chefs having monthly free magazines in our two major supermarket chains with hints and recipes that ONLY involved fresh types of foods for busy Mums and families. Even our largest supermarket chains label themselves 'The Fresh Food People' as their main advertising.
