On top of that, James Bond is being decried as a sexist character in the British press, with claims that he "no longer fits the archetype of a hero". Sexist? No shit! An essential staple of the character is his misogynist nature, that he views women as disposable pleasures. Why is this suddenly news, and more importantly, what does it have to do with the quality of the films and their ability to entertain?

I never understood why certain sports need women around when handing out trophy's for wins. A "to the winner go the spoils' implication? Aren't ring girls in boxing used between rounds only? They're not seen at the end of the match in the ring next to the winner are they?
