someone needs to call NJtoTX so that the other shoe can drop at last ! Paging NJtoTX What shoe, what did I miss? the other shoe dropping is slang for to defer action or decision until another matter is dissolved. or to await for an inevitable event. in this case it means can we just get this shit over with? in nyc tenement houses one would hear their upstairs neighbors come home and prepare for bed. clunk goes one shoe. then the downstairs neighbor would wait pensively for the other shoe to clunk on the floor == waiting for the other shoe to drop -- and then everyone could go to sleep. as a matter of fact, if you were conscious about the noise you made and accidentally dropped your first shoe but placed the other shoe on the floor quietly, you would be welcomed by a banging on the floor/wall and a shouting 'when are you going to drop the other shoe!?'

I'm weird with leftover pizza, depending on the type, thickness, how much the crust was already cooked, toppings, and what might fall off or seep through. I was using my toaster-oven to reheat, sometimes on a tray, sometimes with foil, sometimes as is, and often was too ready to eat it than to wait for it to be perfect. So sometimes cold, sometimes badly reheated. I hate overdone, brittle crusts. Toaster oven has since died. Gas oven works. Might use the air fryer (i.e. compact convection oven) next time. Edit: don't be condescending. Which other shoe specific to this thread - y'all were waiting on me?

Take an old wire hanger. Bend it in half lengthwise. Place the bottom half directly on a burner on the stove. Place the pizza directly on the top half. Put the burner on medium for a few minutes. After you eat, ask your wife to clean up the mess, please.

There should be a time limit on these guessing threads. By the time the desired response is given and confirmed, no one will care.

There should be a time limit on these guessing threads. By the time the desired response is given and confirmed, no one will care. Two ways are the best. First in good weather. Warm up a grill few minutes. Cook the pizza for 5 minutes at medium heat. If the weather is not so good. Preheat skillet. Cover with lid and let it cook for 6-8 minutes.

I've heard of barbequing pizza but NEVER done it. I'll have to give that a try someday.

Kind of OT. Bad weather never stopped my mother from grilling hamburgers. We had to shovel a path on the deck so she could get to it.

reheating just makes it soggy , I much prefer left over pizza cold!

If it's just a couple of slices, that's way too much trouble to go through for something that I can eat in like 5 minutes. If there was like a full pie that was left over, that's one thing. Then at most I'd take the time to put it in the toaster oven.

what about this new fangled thing? reheatza thingyto cook regular pizza [especially with the rising dough and everything] I like these round metal pans with the little holes on the bottom. I wonder what a pizza stone is like. and I wonder how well deep dish is homemade.
