deembastillepouring water onto the slice... what the hell?
Have you tried it before saying "what the hell ?" in instant dismissal of the idea ? It sounds like it might just work.

no and i won't try it. the glass of water will work.
you can spritz a paper towel and wrap it or maybe spritz the water onto the slice but pouring water over it... how can you gauge how much water you are using without making a soupy mess?

deembastille how can you gauge how much water you are using without making a soupy mess?
You could start by opening your eyes and looking at the pizza and the running water. The poster did mention letting the excess water drain off. " pouring a little running water over the slice to dampen it, while I hold the slice over the sink to let excess water run off... Then I place the slice onto a microwavable plate.. and then I microwave that slice on high for about 75 seconds.
The water dampening of the slice, keeps the fresher areas from drying out, and rehydrates other areas."
The POINT is that you reject it as a terrible idea without actually TRYING it.

RE:
Do you KNOW what the BEST way to reheat pizza IS...
How can there be a One CORRECT Answer for such a question ? One person's "best" is someone else's "worst".
What next ? BEST way to HEAT a can of Campbell's CHUNKY SOUP ?
I have that down to a science. Heat for exactly 30 seconds

Noooo way. Two minutes. Stir and then 1 min and 15 seconds. NOT 14 seconds not 16 seconds ... 15 ! ONLY way to do it. !
Hey .... do you remember last spring when we were talking about some Campbell's Chucky Soup or other ? My intro to the Food Board. Almost a year ago. Wow ! Yeah I do remember that. You're one of my original food and soup friends here. Good times. Hard to believe it's been a year already.

The suspense is killing me here Have you ever seen the OPs "Guess the Movie Quote" threads ? They can go on for months because 1) The quote is usually his best guess at the actual wording of the quote. 2) The quote (such as it is) is from a very little and unquotable film. 3) He has most of the people who might actually want to (or be able to) identify the quote on IGNORE but won't ever say why. So get some snacks (or better yet, some soup ) ... the pizza answer will no doubt be a long while in arriving !
