Kucherov hits 31 in a huge win over Florida; Tarasenko scores 2, now on 32.
The Devils are just dreadful. Losing to Arizona right now and 2 nights ago lost to the freaking Avs.
Flames still rocking it, shut out Winnipeg. Have now overtaken Anaheim and Edmonton, albeit with one more game played than the Oilers.

The fapping sound you hear is me getting excited over the possibility of making an Erik Karlsson Norris argument.
Of course, I need ANotherCleverName here for it to be worth it. Where is he?

In a normal year Hedman would be a very strong Norris candidate with a season like this. Crazy.
Terrible effort by the Oilers leaves them in the WC1 spot, behind the Ducks and Flames.
Patrick Kane only 2 points behind McDavid now. Pacioretty somehow only one goal behind Crosby.

Caps are falling apart in the stretch just like last year. If they don't win this season I really don't know what more they can do.

Marchand with a 4 point night in Vancouver. Man, do they hate him.

Hedman intercepts a Karlsson pass and scores the winner in OT. Nice.
Oilers beat Stars 7-1, McDavid with one goal. Now tied for the scoring lead with Patrick Kane at 76 points.

How about that Weber slap shot to Crawford's head? He'd be dead 40 years ago.

Crosby seems to have used up his puck luck around the net. Meanwhile Ovechkin finally breaks a 10 game goal drought. How is that even possible for him?

I've got a feeling that'll change tomorrow night; Crosby always has a big night against the Flyers. Turns out he didn't. Penguins get shut out 4-0. Consequently Brad Marchand takes the goal scoring lead with 36. Of all the players contending for the Richard, he's the one I least want to win. Marchand 76 Kane 76 McDavid 76 Crosby 74 Marchand 36 Crosby 35

Can someone convince me the Bruins aren't going on a Cup run? Don't think I can take another one of those.

As much as I want to think Marchand possibly winning the Richard and Ross would be improbable, I realize that somehow Todd Bertuzzi once led the league in PPG.
Let's forget all this frivolous talk for a minute and get down to what actually matters...Is Riley Sheahan going to score a goal this year?

Definitely wouldn't surprise me, though one wonders just how long Marchand can sustain his current torrid stretch. More than anything, I'm really hoping for a first round Washington/Tampa matchup. Probably not going to happen, but it's still amazing to me just how possible a Washington/Pittsburgh matchup is right now. All it would take is Columbus winning a few more games than both and New York treading water in that Metro 4 spot.

Safe to say the Kings are toast, BTW? Pretty disastrous back to back, losing to the team they're competing with for that WC2 spot and then blowing a late lead to bottom feeder Arizona to blow a point. (And maybe the worst shootout I've ever seen, and that's accounting for just how shitty the shootout seems now in the 3x3 era. Just horrible attempt after horrible attempt.)
St. Louis has an absurdly easy draw the rest of the way, with 3 each vs. Arizona and Colorado.

Kings are done, thankfully. It would be somewhat entertaining for the Oilers to somehow blow it and miss out but it looks like that's not going to happen.
Has the balance of power shifted from West to East, by the way? Looking at the West, the only real contenders I see are Chicago and San Jose. The East has all the Metro competitors, plus Boston, maaaaaybe Tampa.
