I can, but don't want to. Not only do I drink while I eat, but I ensure that my portions of main dish vs. side dish(es) are consumed at the same proportion throughout the meal. Funny, I generally eat 1 food at a time. If I get a burger and fries at a restaurant, the only reason I take a bite out of the burger is so that when they come around and say "how is everything?" I will have an answer. If it's fast food, I eat every french fry first. I had a good buddy in high school who did that. We used to make fun of each other. I would tell him he was missing out on contradicting flavor bursts. He would counter with, "If you want the burger and fries in your mouth at the same time, why not just order fries on your burger?" Eh, I can't say he was wrong.
