Could someone please explain this malt thing? What malt powder and how do you use it? Sure .. here ya go It is made from an evaporated mixture of wheat flour, malted barley, and whole milk. Malted milk powder is most commonly used to make ice cream malts and the sweet centers of malted milk balls. It can also be mixed into the batters of cookies, cupcakes, brownies, and frosting for a signature malted flavor. For a 14 ounce shake, use 1 teaspoon of malted milk powder.

Thank you, if I ever come across that powder I will give it a try. You add it to water or milk?

yezziqa Mix in milk... Ovaltine is another version of it. Personally, I don't like the taste of malt in any form. (ugh!)

If people drink milk shakes or chocolate milk in Sweden it might be there under another name. It's also used in baking so check by the flour etc in the stores. yezziqa

We don't have instant tea etc either, the only reason instant coffee is still around is bacause we use it in chocolate balls. Some companies try to sell products like that for a while, but they never take of. I think it has to do with the sweetness of the products, we use far less sugar and it just tastes odd to us.
