I used to watch them all the time, but in a few special cases like Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade I didnt, because I wanted to be fresh when I saw the movie (didnt work-someone told me the plot outside the movie theater). In some cases, when I did watch a trailer, it gave me the wrong impression of a movie and I was disappointed too.
These days, I might check out a trailer for curiosity and skip the movie, but if I plan to watch something, I dont bother with the trailer. Most movies I have seen from the last 15 years I never bothered to look at a trailer first.

Nope, never. I got fed up of them giving me a false impression of what to expect. I can't remember the last trailer i saw but it would be pre 2000

I try to stay away from them (because I want to see the film as "cold" and as fresh as possible) but I am weak . lol I usually can't help but watch a little bit of footage (esp the big tentpole films )

It varies.
Like movies I want to see ill see the trailer to hype em up a bit etc. but for movies I don't have much to go on with cast/director being mostly unknown then a trailer is about the best thing you got to see if a movie is potentially worth seeing or not etc.

I love trailers at the cinema, always regard them as part of the cinema experience. On dvds I sometimes don't bother because they are often about films I already know about so not very interesting to watch.
