I wonder what the plot will be when most of the apprentices are dead, Jigsaw is dead, the police characters are mostly all dead, and it does not look like either Gordon or Hoffman will be in this.

I'm in. Doesn't have to have Jigsaw (though I love the character). The concept is cool enough to go in several directions. A "Human Centipede 2" copycat kind of concept could be interesting...those who played the Batman Arkham games may have noticed the similarities between Jigsaw and the Riddler...or maybe I had a few extra puffs...
I love this series. Even when it swings and misses (which isn't that much for me), I dig it, big time.

It's a new story and a fresh take on the series. Tobin Bell is set to appear so it's likely he will be in flashbacks. Maybe he had other followers or apprentices that want to carry on his work.

The first one was mysterious, something fresh. The second one also has it moments. From 3 onwards it was all about the torture and gore. They should have ended it there. Just became another cash cow like many of the other franchises.

I like the Saw sequels. The voice recognition scene in the sixth movie was my favorite scene in the series.
I like the Hostel series too. I remember really hating the ending to the second movie, though.

These moves are nothing more than legitimized snuff films in my book. The thought of an eighth one makes me want to hurl.

I'm looking forward to Saw: Legacy. I didn't know that the cast has now been confirmed... I'm kind of surprised and really pleased that Laura Vandervoort is on board. Can't wait to see the new traps this time around. As others have said, the first movie (or maybe the first 2) were somewhat unique and fresh, but I had no problem with where the series went from there. I think you know what you're in for if you continue watching these movies, it's gonna be more of the same and I'm still loving it.

I enjoyed all "Saw" movies besides the last one, so I'm excited about part VIII. Some of you mentioned Hostel - oh God, how I hate this movie. I'm never gonna watch it again or watch the sequels. It's awful.

It's awful. I agree. The first two Hostel movies were a bit too much and gratuitous. While the violence and gore doesn't bother me, I don't care to watch the third Hostel film or any future sequels.

The first was great...the rest pretty poor, so not really stoked for another. Jigsaw for me is one of the most irritating horror villains ever.
