I'm here in the midwest, which right now is cold and dreary, with a lot of snow on the ground. But after having a dream the other night, it occurred to me how VERY rare it was for me to ever have a dream set in winter......unless, of course it specifically has to do with the cold, the snow and/or winter weather in general. No, whenever I dream it's almost always in a setting where it's warm enough to never have to wear a jacket or sweater of any kind (if outside), and almost never with any precipitation of any kind (again, unless it's an integral part of the dream). Which made me wonder if there is anybody out there who routinely experiences dreams that tend to 'sync up' with the seasonal weather outside, or have dreams of any kind with noticeably changing weather patterns (from time to time). Anyone ?? SAVE FERRIS

Interesting. Most of Catman's dreams are set indoors.

I don't have hot or cold days in my dreams, but fairly often there is rain in my dreams, particularly when something important has been left outside.
Note: Almost all of my dreams use the "subjective camera" technique, meaning the vision shown is what the character is seeing, meaning I never see what I am wearing.

not with weather but i do have dreams that sync up with whatever was going on in my life.. good and not so good. fyi... bad dreams actually have good/positive meanings. that's encouraging. all throughout my childhood i had a recurring dream that was similar to the beginning of Raiders of the Lost Ark. the big boulder. i would be in this big warehouse type room that was filled with mounds and hills of spaghetti. then a door would open and out came this big boulder [meatball] and roll down the mounds and hills towards me but would never reach me. it wasn't until recently when i figured out why it was spaghetti and meatballs... that was basically what my family ate at least 2-3 times a week. some sort of Italian dish. if i conk out in front of the tv whatever is playing COULD [not will] bleed into my dream. i write these in my dream journal as a bleeding dream and it usually involves what is on the tv [as if i could pay attention!] one that i had was when i fell asleep to absolutely fabulous series 2 dvd on replay and Edina said [upon hearing what was causing her foot pain -- her cranial acupuncture needle] HOW MANY ORGANS DID IT HARPOON ON ITS WAY DOWN? that sentence bled into my dream although i was not watching the show in my dream. i woke up laughing, as it was completely out of the blue and random. another good bleeding dream i had i mentioned before on that unique picture thread... i had conked out in front of the tv some early Saturday morning and this segment was playing about the [had to look it up] KINZUA BRIDGE in Pennsylvania. what bled into my dream was how green and lush the area was and this high wrought iron bridge that went and went and then didn't. just dropped off. [turns out a tornado uprooted half of the towers holding this thing up and things just snapped from there.] the show is MYSTERIES OF THE ABANDONED. they did make the last tower standing into a lookout point, and they left the destroyed towers remains there. idk if that is cool or scary. the worst bleeding dream i had was when i fell asleep during mysteries at the museum and the toadfish segment. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. scary as hell. i would never ever have a nightmare about anything that wasn't real. all my nightmares now take place at work, which thankfully are not very common and can sometimes bleed into something better. i could never watch something scary and new to me right before bed. made that mistake with Ju-on.

I don't think I've ever had a dream set in Winter, and I remember my dreams every night

Most of my dreams seem to be set in Summer by default, but sometimes I'll have a dream where I am trapped in a snowy wilderness, so I guess that's close enough to be Winter.
