It is funny you mentioned 'Marvel's Runaways' Jayhn1111 'cause it is going to start airing here for the first time on Fox 8 (Foxtel) this week and we are going to watch it and over the last five years we have got 'Marvel's Agents of SHIELD' and 'Marvel's Agent Carter' on Channel 7 and their secondary channel '7Flicks' but I gave up with 'Agents of SHIELD' and wait until it comes out on DVD to watch it now 'cause they don't air it here and when they do it is up against too many other shows and I can't record things on 7Flicks like I can with Channel 7 and 7 Mate. Oh that's so cool Deb. let me know what you think about it. For me it'll probably take years before I get to it but I'm going to do my best to maybe kick it up a notch and try to watch more episodes of everything else so I can catch up with everything. I am always so far behind everything to the point where I have a list of shows I want to watch going back to the 90's. but I learned my lesson. Once you fall behind, you never catch up and then things start to become outdated 20 years later! LOL but like I said before, I love the Marvel movies so I think I will enjoy all the series. I know there's a big war with the fans between marvel and DC but I think I will love both either way so that doesn't really matter to me. I am very much looking forward to the Shield series. I know what you mean with falling behind with TV shows and I am still catching up to other TV shows on the side that I haven't had the chance to complete 'cause I am watching the current shows on TV and it is better in a way to watch them on DVD 'cause then you don't have to wait every week to see what happens next or wait months between the seasons but once you watch them live you want to see the rest when you like them so it is hard to get out of that pattern. I watch a lot of old shows too and I am currently re-watching 'Haven' and 'Eureka'and before that I was re-watching 'Alias' (which is one of my favourite shows of all time), 'Fringe', 'Smallville' and 'Lost Girl.' It is not a superhero show but if you are into Action shows one non comic book show I would recommend is 'Alias.' It went for 5 seasons in the 00s and had Jennifer Garner as the main star and Victor Garbor from 'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' played her Father, Jack Bristow and he is very different in that show than what he was like as Martin. There is a war between DC and Marvel. I see it a lot on sites and I don't take sides 'cause I like a lot of different comic book companies and have comic book series by DC, Marvel, Image Comics, Dynamite Entertainment, Action Lab, Zenescope, IDW, Bubble Comics, Aspen, Amigo Comics etc and some of my favourite series have actually been under Image Comics and Dynamite Entertainment.

I didn't know about any of that about Green Arrow. That's one of those characters I was never too familiar with. Though I did watch those crossover episodes when I watched super girl. Maybe I will watch that show eventually. I consider you an expert with all things related to superheros so I will refer to you with all my superhero questions . I'm still getting used to all this streaming stuff, but I just hope it doesn't become a mess with all these different ones and original series. I"m not sure that I'll watch any of the animated stuff because there's just so many over the years but I'm sure there's a lot of good ones. But I think Shazam I heard they were making a movie of that or something but I'm not sure about that. By the way I was a big fan of Desperate Housewives at the time. That was a great show. Well, I didn’t know that much about the Green Arrow until the character joined ‘Smallville’ in Season 5 and I knew more about the Black Canary ‘cause she was in ‘Birds of Prey’ with Barbara Gordon and I had some of the Black Canary solo comic books that came out in the late 80s/early 90s. I remember when the Green Arrow first joined ‘Smallville’ a lot of people thought he was a Robin Hood knockoff but he become very popular on the show and thanks to ‘Smallville’ and the ‘Arrow’ show he is one of DC’s most well-known superheroes now. While I like Stephen Amell’s version of Oliver Queen I think Justin Hartley’s version was better and I think they are missing an important part of the character by not having him as a billionaire and the CEO of Queen Industries. In ‘Smallville’ Oliver Queen was that and he had his own plane and would travel to different places with of other superheroes.
Oliver Queen had a long history with the Luthor family and Lionel Luthor killed his parents and Oliver and Lex were rivals and Lexcorp was Queen Industries’ competition. I won’t say too much ‘cause I do not want to spoil it for you when you eventually watch the show but I liked the history between Lex and Oliver ‘Smallville’ added and wish they had Lex on ‘Arrow’ but Warner Bros are going to use him in the upcoming ‘Metropolis’ TV show with Lois Lane and Perry White instead. I can’t say I have high hopes for that show ‘cause I think a lot of fans don’t want to see another Superman prequel TV show so soon after ‘Smallville’ and we already have ‘Krypton’ coming up which will be different ‘cause it is going to be on another planet and be about Kryptonians instead of humans but I don’t see what they can do with ‘Metropolis’ that wasn’t already done in ‘Smallville’ and it seems like a waste to me.
Thank you but I wouldn’t call myself an expert on all superhero related stuff () but I do know a bit and I mostly know about female superheroes and female lead comic book series. Over the years I have read a large amount of comic books and some of my favourites have been Supergirl/Linda Danvers (by Peter David), Witchblade, Red Sonja, Hack/Slash, Darkchylde, Fathom, Razor, Vampirella, Shi, The Magdalena, Batgirl, Birds of Prey, Cyberforce, the Darkness, Aphrodite IX, Wonderland (Zenescope), Lady Death, Artifacts, Spawn, Batman, Nightwing, Teen Titans, The Phantom, The Crow, Criminal Macabre, Rat Queens, Rogues, Sonic the Hedgehog, Faust, Spider-Man, X Men, Spider Woman, The Fantastic Four, SpiderGwen, Gen 13, Wild Cats, Danger Girl, Monstress, Saga, Hellboy, Sunstone, The Legion of Superheroes, Nancy In Hell, The Dresden Files, The Mask, Savage Dragon, Power Girl, The Ravening, Green Arrow, Fallen Angel, Tarot: Witch of the Black Rose, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Charmed, Swords of Sorrow, Wynonna Earp, etc to name a few and if you have any questions about those series I will be happy to help you out. 'Desperate Housewives' was a good show and I still enjoy watching reruns of that now.

Okay. I should mention the next time I am on after today won’t be for a week ‘cause Beccy and I are getting married tomorrow for the second time (the first time here in Australia) and then we’re going away on our honeymoon and I won’t be back on here until next Saturday. I am very excited now and am counting down the hours for it and I have been waiting so long for this day to come and can't believe it is almost here. 'Haven' and 'Eureka' are two of my favourite TV shows of the past decade and if you were a fan of the show, 'Fringe' 'Haven' is one to check out 'cause it is very similar in some ways and is like 'Fringe' in a small town. There were 6 seasons of 'Haven' (they called Season 5 part 1 and 2) and 5 seasons of 'Eureka' and 'Eureka' has a lot of strange things happen in it like 'Haven' and 'Fringe' but is more of a comedy. The Syfy Channel had some good shows I really enjoyed aside from those two like 'Lost Girl', 'Continuum (with Rachel Nichols) ', 'Sanctuary', 'The Dead Zone', 'Warehouse 13', 'Dark Matter' and 'Bitten' and I am currently watching 'Channel Zero', '12 Monkeys', 'Wynonna Earp' and 'Van Helsing' on it but they always seem to cancel their shows too early and it is very annoying when they don't give them a proper ending.
I think 'Alias' was one of was one of the best female lead Action TV shows of all time and I liked it even more than 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' during its first three seasons and would suggest to everybody who hasn't watched it to give it a chance 'cause there were so many good episodes and Jennifer Garner was amazing as Sydney Bristow.

Wow I see I have a lot to learn about all of this. But I do think if you read all the comic books, that's where all this tremendous knowledge of different superheroes and villains come in and I never read any comics. Though I do recognize a lot of the stuff you mentioned, but I just don't know too much about it. After a catch up on some of my wrestling dvd's maybe I will finally delve into smallville.

Sometimes reading the comics can be a curse instead of a blessing. Sometimes we get caught up in the minutiae, and dismiss an adaptation when it leaves out something we deem important.
Lot of comics fans dislike the MCU or the Dark Knight Trilogy not because they're bad, but because things were changed in adaptation.

You haven’t? Wow. You should check some of the comic books out one day when you have finished with the TV shows ‘cause the comic books have a lot of great stories in them and I have always liked the comic books more than the movies and TV shows. Comic book writers and creators don’t get the respect they deserve most of the time and a lot of people know superheroes like Supergirl, the Flash, Green Arrow and Martian Manhunter to name some names in the ‘Arrowverse’ but not as many can name the creators of those characters – heck, a lot of people don’t even know who created Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman and I feel is wrong ‘cause without the creators and the writers who have kept these characters going for all years when they could have faded into oblivion decades ago there would be no DCEU, MCU or any of these DC or Marvel TV shows now.
One of the things I like the most about comic books apart from there being a large amount of female and LGBT characters in leading roles is there is such a broad range of different genres to choose from and a lot of Horror comic books are better than the Horror movies coming out now and many names in the Horror industry like the late Wes Craven and Tobe Hooper, Stephen King and John Carpenter have said it and Wes Craven called ‘Hack/Slash’ a masterpiece and John Carpenter called ‘Darkchylde’ one of the best Horror stories he had ever read and Ariel Chylde had the potential to become one of the most popular Horror characters of all time on screen. With comic books a lot of people think about superheroes but the Horror genre predates the superhero genre and heaps of Horror authors and directors have said they were inspired by the Horror comic books that came out in the 30s and 40s. DC and Marvel mostly stick to superheroes but Image Comics, Dynamite Entertainment, Aspen, IDW, Action Lab etc do Horror, Fantasy, Sci Fi, Thriller, Crime, Romance and Drama and one company I am reading a lot of at the moment is Aspen.

That is cool. I didn't realize all the different genres they had comics about. I'm not sure I've ever had a comic book in my life. Maybe a few when I was really little. It does seem to be a whole other world with great stories and characters that movies and tv shows originated from. Seems like there's something for everybody so I will keep that in mind.

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you again. Yes. There is a wide range of genres comic books cover aside from just the ones I have mentioned and you have Crime, Thriller, Action, Sci Fi, Comedy, Romance, Drama and Western comic books too and there have been a lot of movies and TV shows based on comic books that people don't know originated as comic books like 'Dennis the Menace', 'Richie Rich', 'Josie and the Pussycats', 'Blondie', 'Dick Tracy', 'The Addams Family', 'Sabrina the Teenage Witch', '30 Days of Night', 'The Walking Dead', 'Tales From the Crypt', 'Ghost World', 'Men In Black', 'Art School Confidential', 'Bounty Killer', 'Bulletproof Monk', 'Wanted', 'Cowboys & Aliens', 'I, Frankenstein', 'Oblivion' etc. I have been reading comic books for over 30 years now and I mostly get them in graphic novel form now 'cause I prefer getting a few issues in one instead of waiting for the next one to come out but I have got the latest comic books of 'Witchblade', 'Hack/Slash' and 'Fathom' recently and will be getting the new 'Cyberforce' comic book later this month. I think there is something for everybody in comic books and a lot of different things are represented.

It is and a lot of people don't give comic books a fair chance 'cause they only see them as being for children but a number of my friends who weren't comic book fans before have got into them 'cause of me changing their minds.

No, I haven't heard of Bubble Comics before. I'll be sure to check them out. Thanks. Though I did like how you found the cover with the hot redhead. Here's what I tried to show you earlier. They also have a hot redhead.

I realise you are probably stacked up with all the other suggestions I have given you over the years (are you still reading 'Hack/ Slash'?) but Bubble Comics have a number of good titles that are worth checking out and I haven't seen the one you suggested but I will look into it and see if I can get the graphic novels on Amazon.
