Some studios have slow periods in releasing products, or maybe they are being released by another company. What shows in particular are you looking for? All of them lol, i was going on the HBO site to buy Westworld and I noticed there is no physical DVDS on their store. Maybe, because "HBO" did not release it?... Well the Blu Ray player can play DVDs as well but the DVD player can't play Blu Ray discs. I know I have both a Blu-Ray and a DVD player. I mainly use the Blu-Ray palyer but i use the DVD player for DVDs that are region code 1 you know Canada and The US. Becaue my Blu-Ray player can only play European region code I have some region 2 dvds [they would not be sold any other way] and i bought a multi regional travel dvd player. pyle makes a good brand and they accept regions 1 to 4.

Hopefully. It's an obsolete format. They should be releasing only Blu-ray or 4K now. And... Do computers accept Blu Ray discs? Yes, of course. Although it won't work as well as a dedicated Blu-ray player. I haven't used one in quite a while though so I'm not sure if the Blu-ray playback in programs such as PowerDVD have been improved by then. What does this have to do with anything anyway?

That comparison makes no sense. Comic books aren't an obsolete format. Oh i see you are just being stupid on purpose. Oh I see you just call me stupid as an attempt to avoid admitting what you said was stupid and made no sense.

Is it the same pain as not using commas or periods? Wow this was sad in so many ways The purpose of language is to communicate. I'm not asking for war and peace but it should be more or less understandable.

So portability is what this has to do with this. Duh.

The purpose of language is to communicate. I'm not asking for war and peace but it should be more or less understandable. Yeah... Same here. Someone responded to a post I made the other day, with a bunch of alphabet soup and chopped upped words. I didn't understand anything that he wrote. Chatroom shorthand only works if everyone knows it. Not everyone does. There is a reason why we all take "English" classes growing up.

But I guess a "fool" like you, would end up just staring at the back of the seat in front of you for hours or even days.

THAT IS MY POINT EXACTLY! srsly, a bus ticket costs a fraction of what a train ticket costs. the cheapest train ticket i can get from nyc to Washington dc is 49 which is a steal. usually, i pay 89 [which i still cry tears of joy whenever i find] to 189! a bus ticket is less than 30 dollars. do the math.

I think Buses and Trains are both cheaper than taking Planes. And I think the headaches involving security concerns are probably easier to deal with. Amtrak's AutoTrain goes from the North East to Florida (and Back), and you can take your car with you by Autorack. You don't have to rent a car when you get there. Road/Rail travel is cheaper, but does take time... Watching a few movies on a laptop would make all that time go more quickly.

Also, I don't need to see the pores in someones face to enjoy a movie. taylorfirst1 , I agree with you on both of those points. I have never seen 4K, but I don't care to see the germs inside those pore in someones face. Older films don't always look good on Blu-Ray & 4K anyway... especially older sci-fi movies with wires and such. All of that becomes more obvious, and distracting. Some companies can not release older media onto Blu-Ray & UP, because of the way it was filmed or recorded on video tape. The TV Show "Doctor Who" for example. Almost all of the original series has only been released on DVD... Upconverting doesn't look good either. There are 3 seconds of standard video for the ST:TNG Episode of "The Best Of Both Worlds" which had to be unconverted for the Blu-Ray release... and it looks like shit! So Caesar Roberto can take his "Fact" and shove it up his ass, because DVD is NOT obsolete. It's just not normally preferred. But I guess in some people's "little world", who refuse to watch anything Pre-2000, they have no interest in wanting to watch Low Quality Video & taped programs...
