This thread is for the Philly fans here, and it seems we got a lot of them!
Im curious about 3 things
1. Did you go to the parade.
2. You guys buying any Sbowl merch? SBowl hats/Shirts etc.
3. Do you guys wanna stick with Foles or go with Wentz?
Im mostly curious about 2, curious if youre going all out, buying the Superbowl shirts, hats, and anything else you can find.
Congrats btw on your first Superbowl win!

1. nope 2. nope (but i loved buying 'Starter' clothes as a kid - but I was 'that kid' who didn't buy your home teams 'merch' 3. Wentz - Foles will forever be a God here - but Wentz is the franchise QB of the next decade - rumors swirling right now all over the airwaves you may be able to pick up a 1st Round Pick or even more for Foles - you have to pounce on that! Make a Rocky Statue of Folesy later.
Thanks for the Congrats. Rooting for Watson too - jaw dropped why he was picked so late (not necessarily late - but wasn't it mid 1st - later than I expected - guy won title (or was it two) at an Elite program against elite competition.) Rest of the NFL pretty much has egg on their face. Was great seeing the kid do well.

1. Did not go to the parade but streamed it while at work.
2. I bought T-shirt’s after the Vikings game and after the Super Bowl for me and my wife.
3. Keep Foles for 2018, start Wentz when he’s healthy, tell Foles for 2019 to try and get a starting job somewhere and thank you for everything.

And I get at this point - you just don't know when Wentzelvania will be back. Hoping the 1st game. But who knows. Here's my major concern (which may not seem like a lot to some). What if Foles starts next year on fire? Do you yank him? After winning the Bowl and then he starts the season as the QB? I think we'd all agree Wentz is the franchise QB. How about if Wentz does start the season but struggles and Foles is on the sidelines than people start calling for his #? Do this now. You've got to 'Fredo' Folesy so to speak. Thanks for the memories Bub! Next!

Thanks for the memories Bub! Next! There is no QB controversy. If Foles has to start next season due to Wentz’s health, and if he’s Joe Montana to the Peyton Manning power, Wentz still starts when he’s ready. It just allows Wentz to fully heal and take his time coming back. But it’s Wentz’s job the second he’s ready.

I get the old argument you don't lose your job due to an injury. But we're talking about a guy that just brought a Super Bowl starved city their first Bowl - and then this QB who put a team on his back starts off 3-0 or 4-0? Are you really going to yank him? Another question. Let's say Wentz comes back and isn't himself and it takes him some time to get acclimated again. Let's say he does start the season and they start off 1-3 or 1-4 and you start hearing a lot of chirping - i.e. 'Put Foles In!'. My question isn't about the moronic fans who would call for this - and after seeing Wentz perform for over 2 years - I think he has stronger character to know how to deal with that - but if you're the Eagles - would you really want to deal with that sh*tshow? Especially if rumors are true right now you may be able to get a #1 for Foles? This guy will always go down as one of Philly's favorite sons now - and I'll always love him - still have my Sports Illustrated framed from a few years back - but IMO - you've got to cut bait right now.........Wentz is the future - if not you're asking for trouble.....

This isn't confusing. If Foles starts off on pace for 6,000 yards, 75 touchdowns, and a perfect passer rating, the job is sill Wentz's when he's healthy. Wentz is the future of the franchise. Hell, he's the present too. This is no knock on Foles, but Foles isn't Lou Gehrig and Wentz isn't Wally Pipp. Short of raping Howie Roseman's daughter on the 50 yard line on Monday Night Football, the job is Wentz's. There may be three dickheads at the Linc calling for Foles if Wentz struggles in his return, but no one in their right minds thinks Foles should supplant Wentz.

So if Wentz isn't ready opening game (which I expect he will be - but there's no set time table)... And Foles starts the season 4-0 - you yank him after that hot start and he won the Super Bowl the previous year. Check. As for me? I'll take that 1st Round pick - which I'm in awe is being reported - hell - I'll cut bait and take a 3rd.

Assuming Wentz won't be ready opening day, who is your QB. Surely not Sudfeld. So I assume you'd sign a free agent. What free agent would be worth it? Some recycled jerk off of the type the Jets always sign? Whoever the Vikings cast off? At that point what would BE the point? Are you hoping someone not on the roster will have a Case Keenum run of luck? Then why not just keep Foles? Roseman and Pederson place a lot of value on the backup QB position. They're not going to get rid of Foles just to get rid of him.
