The one thing which terrifies me the most is a snake. I couldn't even eat if i see it on tv. The worst thing is that it even comes in my dreams in every 3 weeks or so. Anybody else here who has this snake phobia?

Then I must be thankfull that I live in a snake free country, and it isn't Ireland.
Well we do have a few snakes, but they are poison-less.

Catman likes snakes, but he's a bit leery of hot snakes. And he ain't talking about the American post-hardcore band.

I hate snakes too. It doesn't scare me that much seeing them on TV or movies 'cause they are not really there with me and I sat through 'Snakes On Planes' and wasn't scared but I had a few bad experiences with snakes when I was young and when I see one now I will run inside and not go back out until it is gone. My Wifey on the other hand has no fear of snakes and she has killed a lot of them over the years and killed one in our backyard last year.

I like snakes, kept one as a pet when I was a child.
Reptiles don't generally frighten or bother me. Insects, big ones, and archnids, if bigger than a finger nail, can startle me.

Love em, and reptiles in general. I see a snake on the road, I stop and carry it off.

Anybody else here who has this snake phobia? Yes I have a snake phobia. Seems the older I get the worse the phobia gets. Here is exactly how I feel about snakes. THE ONLY GOOD SNAKE IS A DEAD SNAKE.

I hate snakes, and yet I like iguanas and geckos, it's just snakes, really not sure why. There's not any poisonous or killer snakes where I live, and I haven't seen one in decades.

Two posts before the obligatory Indiana Jones reference. Not bad.

I have no problem with snakes: they're just legless lizards. My wife, however, has extreme phobia. If a snake appears on TV, that is the end of the movie, television show, cartoon, documentary, or news program. If I remember my Velikovsky correctly, our phobia is because snakes and spiders originated on Mars; not Earth (Worlds in Collision (1950)). Phooey on that.
My mother told me that on Okinawa when she was a child, when walking single file through the jungle it was safer to be at the head of the line. That was because the first person would disturb the snake; by the time the snake was coiled and ready to strike the first person would have passed and the snake would wind up biting the second person. Most snakes on Okinawa were poisonous.

They rank high on my list of fears as well. Not only because of their danger, but the fact that it's very easy to not see them coming before it's too late.
