Idk what you want anymore. You initially brought him up while stating: it still didn't stop them from beating him... How do those words equate: Rodney was wrong? They don't. And you never wrote afterwards how he was wrong. Never. Said. Those. Words. Okay, I'll just say this and will end my participation in this discussion: we had mentioned how some people were being shot instead of being subdued via less lethal means. I said they got Rodney King without having to shoot him, just using the taser and clubs. Somehow, that became me saying that King shouldn't have been beaten. I said that, during the beating, I counted four times that they had stopped and King is just lying on the ground, doing nothing, then they started hitting him again. Yes, King was wrong to be DWI and he was MOST DEFINITELY WRONG for charging at the female (or any) officer on the scene. No endorsement for King whatsoever. You are still misquoting yourself.

At the risk of dragging in politics kicking and screaming because I’m annoyed at something at the moment—judging a movie based on the race of one of the actors.

So, why was it named the "Grandfather" Paradox? It was named by some dude who really wanted to go back in time and kill his grandfather.

Yeah, why does it always have to be the Grandfather? You could go back in time and kill your younger self and the same thing happens.

Why companies need multiple names
Like Edy's Ice Cream is called Dreyer's on the west coast
Best Food's Mayonnaise is called Hellman's on the east coast.
Safeway Grocery Stores are called "Vons" and "Pavilions" in Southern California.
and so on and so on
One name isn't good enough?

Meat eaters who get mad at companies that do animal testing. So you're not ok with Aminals being mistreated while they're breathing but you're ok with the killing of animals for food?
This natural deodorant I use Called Schmidt's Deodorant, they recently partnered with Unilever, the company that owns Dove, Axe, Degree, ben & Jerrys, I can't believe it's not butter, ETC, to get better distribution
And they faced a lot of backlash from people who are Anti-Unilever, since Unilever admits to testing on animals. YET, I'll see the people complaining on facebook, See their likes, and their reviews and half of them aren't even vegan or vegetarian.
This one person who complained about the Unilever partnership, She reviewed a red robin saying the burgers were good but the chicken was just "Okay". Really? You're bitching about cruel animal testing while having a public facebook review where you openly admit to eating animals. GTFOH!

But as for grocery store names... Perhaps one existing company bought out another, and they kept the regional brand names to maintain the customer's confidence and loyalty. It happens regularly. and sometimes, it also has to do with the ease of operations, at least for a while... If I recall correctly, when the Union Pacific Railroad, bought the Southern Pacific Railroad, the "Southern Pacific Railroad" continued to operate for a while until all the "paper work" could be cleared up. Some railroad companies intentionally have more than one railroad name because they operate in different countries. Kansas City Southern operates as "Kansas City Southern" in the USA, but, operates as "Kansas City Southern de Mexico" in Mexico. Different states, and different countries, have different laws and taxes and such. To figure out "Z"... sometimes it's easier to have "X + Y".

Why people overly obsess about the 90s
"I miss the 90s!" "today's music, today's tv sucks. give me my 90s stuff". "I hate the year 2000. It took the 90s away from me". "rocket power isn't 90s because it started in summer 1999 so it's a 2000s show with an early start. How Dare TeenNick air it on their 90s block!"
People have actually said these things on Facebook. So Annoying
The Early years of the 2000s wasn't much different. Things didn't start changing until several years into the 2000s. In the early 2000s, A lot of Cartoons were still hand drawn, not cgi. *cough* as told by ginger *cough*. Smart phones weren't out yet. People weren't doing stupid social media challeneges like eating tide pods.
these days, If something sucks, it sucks because it sucks, not because it's not the 90s anymore.

90's Nostalgia (this is a thing?) Going to pubs & bars and the popularity of alcohol in general. Relationships, and the urge to get married.
