For instance, I don't 'get' wrestling (you know, "professional" wrestling, not the real kind), and the fact that anyone can find this "sport" entertaining. Anybody else ??  SAVE FERRISbeats me For me, watching pro wrestling is no more lame than watching a superhero movie. I remember I made that comparison on the original IMDb and comic book fans practically called for my blood. Then I broke wrestling down like this: 1. You’ve got big, muscular people of both genders. 2. They usually wear tights, some with masks. 3. You’ve got a good guy and a bad guy. The bad guy sometimes has henchmen. 4. You have ineffective authority figures who try to enforce rules. 5. They battle for some sort of prize (title, contract, lover). 6. Wrestlers have a finishing maneuver that sounds like some sort of superpower (tombstone piledriver, GTS, superkick). Sounds like a certain form of literature, doesn’t it? |

I agree that if a belligerent person is coming at you with a bat you shoot them on the leg but some action still needs to be done. Enough of this " oh this person is mentally unstable" bs! Get the job done! Protect people and yourselves. Failure to comply is an arrestible offense. Just do as your told. |

Gordon Ramsey -- i love his kitchen nightmares show. but i don't get how he thinks it's appropriate or okay to pull someone from their jobs for 'two seconds' to talk to them about getting orders out when THEY ARE TRYING TO GET THE FREAKING ORDERS OUT! he takes precious seconds away to reiterate what they a: already know and b: are trying to rectify.
