Idk what you want anymore. You initially brought him up while stating: it still didn't stop them from beating him... How do those words equate: Rodney was wrong? They don't. And you never wrote afterwards how he was wrong. Never. Said. Those. Words. Okay, I'll just say this and will end my participation in this discussion: we had mentioned how some people were being shot instead of being subdued via less lethal means. I said they got Rodney King without having to shoot him, just using the taser and clubs. Somehow, that became me saying that King shouldn't have been beaten. I said that, during the beating, I counted four times that they had stopped and King is just lying on the ground, doing nothing, then they started hitting him again. Yes, King was wrong to be DWI and he was MOST DEFINITELY WRONG for charging at the female (or any) officer on the scene. No endorsement for King whatsoever. deembastilleI'm late to this discussion but I just wanted to add a couple of things. There were multiple officers available to subdue Rodney King. If it was only 1 or even 2, deadly force may have been necessary. As for Tasers, they have serious limitations. The range is very limited, it's almost impossible to hit a moving target with one, their accuracy is greatly effected by the wind, the effectiveness can be reduced if the target is drunk or on drugs or wearing heavy clothing. That's why deadly force is often required. Also, no one who is actually trained in the use of firearms would try to shoot someone in the leg in a real world life or death situation. That only happens in movies and TV.

i mentioned this all, Tasers and night sticks only work if the other person is very close to you and also NOT BRANDISHING ANYTHING IN RETURN!

Why do people have this fascination with plastic surgery? All over the internet you see people talking about how celebrities have had plastic surgery. Some people even get so obsessed by it, they start claiming that people don't age 40 years...they just have bad plastic surgery. It seems to be a real sickness that people have.

why someone parks across two parking spaces. saw it yesterday outside of my cinema, and left a note on the persons car. but something tells me they will do it again somewhere anyway. (random car below just for illustration purposes) I guess for some people, they may get sick of having to squeeze into the vehicle and have others opening their car doors non-mindfully and marking their car. It can be selfish if the car park is full and I would never take up two spaces, regardless of how busy or not the carpark was, it's not the general rule and not courteous; but I don't find myself getting annoyed by it if I see it. Perhaps for the reasons above.

(random car below just for illustration purposes) I don't understand why people park like they do, either. Maybe... handwriting notes doesn't mean anything to them. Print some of these up... and fill one out when it happens. pdf.textfiles.com/posters/notice_1.pdfSadly, that website doesn't exist anymore (I think there is a Facebook page though), but the notices still exist!

But you never know. And for that very reason I used the second draft of the note. Which said " u need to grow up" instead of the first draft, which said " u dick, why?!". I do get annoyed about it in super crowderd places like NYC is, where ANY parking spot is a miracle. To take two spaces is a pure dickery in my book. oh and the rule should be: if you cant squeeze out of your car comfortably enough within a regular space, join the gym, dont take up two spaces.

I got a note on my car once, many many moons ago. I was just parked a bit wonky, but still within the lines. A mate I was with, just left them a smart alec note back, because it was unnecessary and just some girls being b!tchy I think.
I went to a small shopping complex the other day and had 2 passengers, and the car spots were so tight, we could hardly even get out. There also was hardly any road space to reverse out properly as well, without having to do a 6 point or more turn to get out. Sometimes the design just sucks, so they can cram in more spots. I have just recently purchased another car too and it is bigger than my previous one, so not as zippy to maneuver.

Constant remakes and revivals. I figure if you spent all of that money on film school, you can do better than redoing someone else's work.

People who post on message boards and say deliberately and incredibly stupid things that are just begging for a reply and then fuss and carry on when they get that desired reply as if it was unexpected. 'Tis a puzzlement :

Constant remakes and revivals. I figure if you spent all of that money on film school, you can do better than redoing someone else's work. Some of my favourite movies have been remakes and I am glad they exist. The Departed or The (1960) Magnificent Seven, 12 Monkeys if we count short to full feature, even Oceans11 and… yes, Freaky Friday. I think it all depends on the intention and quality of the remake. But I believe a good remake can bring a wider audience to both he remake and the original, in which case everybody wins. :-)
