I shop once a week. Home-cooked meals five nights a week. Pick up take-out from restaurants 1.5 times a week. Eat out .5 times a week.
Before kids, it was home-cooked four nights and eat out three nights.

I go to 3 different groceries once during the wee early weekend morning for stuff. I'm a baker, so I'm shopping for items for my shop as well. Love shopping at this time, because the only idiots in the store are the drunk kiddies. That would be at Walmart. Yes, they have fresh veggies/fruit, but I only get bananas and/or berries there. Otherwise it's mainly dry items, cleaning stuff, personal items.

Once a week, and almost never.

one to 3 times a month. I don't drive. live with people. They take me shopping but there's only so much I can store.
I'm home more than they are. So usually if I'm in need of something, they offer to get it for me. If I don't have the cash, I can just send them the money on paypal Or, give them my debit card pin number

Twice a week, I only buy fresh vegetables, I eat out about twice a week for lunch and once every couple of weeks for dinner, assuming eating out includes getting takeaways.

We're probably in a grocery store, or smaller "grocer's", or we buy grocery-type stuff from a deli or drug store etc. at least every other day on average. It might be a bit more frequent than that.
And we eat food from outside at least as often as not.
That's because we live in New York City, though. You can't just drive to the grocery store and then drive back home and unload. There's no place to park on either end.
We have a few small/limited selection stores within a couple blocks of us. The nearest bigger grocery stores are about a half mile from our place. The easiest/quickest way for me to get there is on my bicycle. So I only buy what I can carry back home on the bike. That means more trips for fewer items at a time. Same if you're walking, which is what my wife does.
Sometimes--maybe once every three weeks or so, I go to Trader Joe's with the car, but I typically go about 17 miles for that--all the way out to Millburn, NJ. There are closer Trader Joe's, including in Manhattan, but the Millburn store has a parking lot, so it's easy on that end--there's no place to park near the Manhattan stores, and the Hoboken store is a hassle in terms of traffic (though sometimes I bike there--we're in Jersey City a lot, too. My recording/rehearsal studio is there). It's convenient because I like to hike in that area (Millburn). South Mountain Reservation, one of my favorite places for 2-4 hour hikes, is right behind Trader Joe's more or less.
I often have to park a half mile or so from our apartment back home, but I can get everything in one or two trips.

I food shop once a week. I go out to eat maybe once week. It varies, sometimes it's even less than that.
