I have noticed that some websites with message forums have a "private thread" feature which allows certain small groups to communicate together without any outside distraction. They usually don't seem to be necessary, but they might be there for any reason from keeping trolls out to privacy issues. I think this site could benefit from such a feature. Apart from it being a preferable alternative to "ignore" in most cases, I think it would solve some issues on the game boards. For example, any time I either invent or set up a game, I can usually count on the same two players to jump on it immediately and play it all by themselves within minutes. When that happens, usually about one other player, or sometimes two, will get a chance to make an entry. That would not happen if I were able to invite specific players. In addition to that, I would not have to look at anybody's quoted posts if I have them on "ignore". Just a suggestion. I hope it will be considered.

There is already such a feature here: Private Messaging.

So what you want is a thread that only your friends can play in but everyone else can see?

As Admin stated: " Private messages are private threads"! You can select several members to be a part of a private discussion. Only those people will see the conversation. Give it a try, before you say: "It Isn't The Same."

That has not been my experience in other message forums. Never mind!
