OMG Yes! I hate that film so much. I also hate anything by Tarantino, I just don't get the excitement about his films.

[...] 5 Rating - Not Good, Not Bad Film [...] A side note, but this is why I hate the 1-10 rating scale. Nobody understands how to use it, certainly not me - but the one thing I thought I was sure of was that there is no midpoint, and so there is no "Not Good, Not Bad Film" rating. The only way I can even begin to make sense of the scale is to assume a rating of six is (just barely) good while a rating of five is (just barely) bad.

Five is sort of "mildly negative mediocre" while six is "mildly positive mediocre" - I don't know how the explain it better.

The Shawshank Redemption: I don't think it's awful or anything, but I don't get why it's at the top of many 'best movie' lists.

A Streetcar Named Desire - Not sure if everyone really loves it but it seems to be very highly rated and I just can't work out why.

Ghostbusters (1984)
My brother and I finally watched it for the first time, expecting to laugh out loud throughout it. But we didn't think it was very funny. We hardly laughed at all until near the end, when the giant marshmallow guy came after them. We couldn't help but laugh so loud that it annoyed the family members who were in the other room. Just the sight of that cute marshmallow guy with a cartoony smile on his face, with everybody screaming in terror at him. It was hilarious.
If only the rest of the movie could have been just as funny.

The Shawshank Redemption. I saw it once all the way through, I have no need or want to see it again.

"The Rocky Horror Picture Show" (1975)
I know it has a cult following, with many fans... and all I ever heard from people was how much they loved it...
Well, when I finally watched it... I didn't love it. It was really creepy and trippy and weird. I was so glad when it was finally over.
I will never watch that again. I would rather clean up the back yard of dog poop instead.

It's a mess of a film. I was so disappointed after I saw it as the film/play get so much hype.

E.T. - Late to the party watching this one, expectations raised too high. Just very boring.
2001: A Space Odyssey - Actually thought my DVD had froze during the very long opening black screen - that was as exciting as it got.
Sicario - Love the director, writer, actors, and whilst it looked good, just lacked a bit of substance. Spent the whole movie waiting for something to happen and it never did. A big disappointment
