The Graduate (staring at Hoffman's nose while he floats in a pool for what feels like hours and Mrs. Robinson's bad tan lines... the film has lost all of its controversy factor and now it's just boring) Lost in Translation (zzzzzzz) Dr. Strangelove (wasn't funny) The Big Lebowski (ditto)
I haven't bothered to watch it (no doubt that I'd despise it), but my parents actually walked out of the theater: Annie Hall

The Matrix. Hate hate hate it because we were beat over our heads for the first ten years of its existence about how great and revolutionary it was. Now it seems to have finally died down and the trilogy is in the $5 bin where it belongs. Ugly unappealing leads who can't act and a nonsense story.
Lord of the Rings, just not into all that Celtic fantasy crap. Don't like Game of Thrones for that same reason.
Austin Powers- fuck these are all awful movies. Nobody gives a crap about them anymore either, they died out with the 90's. They were no better than Billy Madison or something but everyone acted like it was this cultural touchstone. I'd rather watch The Love Guru!

Citizen Kane - For the love of God I have a deep seated hatred for this movie. The times I've had to watch that film in classes at school is mind numbing for me. I remember the last time I was in a film class that met once a week at night and we'd watch a movie and then have to write an essay about it answering a question in which the teacher had. I was taking it for an easy credit in college and it fit my schedule. But I remember walking in and when I found out that we were watching Citizen Kane I raised my hand and asked if I could leave because I can't bring myself to watch this movie again. My teacher seemed shocked as if this film isn't beloved by every single human being a live. I'm sorry but I watch movies to be entertained and not be bored stiff the entire time. I hate it...I hate it so much.
Mad Max Fury Road - My god the hype that movie had going into it was insane and for me it just absolutely fell flat. I honestly didn't care about any of the characters and the story was stupid. The only enjoyment I got out of it was the desert storm scene and how awesome that looked and the dude playing the guitar was kind of awesome. I remember bringing out the opinion that this movie was mediocre during a Screen Junkies show and I just got reamed by Dan Murrell about how flat out wrong I was and I wasn't allowed to say that haha. The story was dumb and again why was the bad guy so bad? I know he had a lot of wives that he I assumed raped but they never showed him doing anything bad from what I remember. They mention a thing here and there sure but show him do something bad don't just tell us. Not saying they needed to show him raping somebody but show us him hitting somebody or killing somebody or something so we can get more invested in this escape plan. An escape plan for characters that we know nothing about and have no real reason to care about. I will say the film looked beautiful but that's all I can say.
Any Star Wars film - I just flat out don't get people's obsession with them. Maybe if I saw them when I was younger or something but I just don't find them to be very entertaining at all. I watched them because a girl I was into was obsessed with them and after I did I came to the conclusion that she wasn't worth that haha

Star Wars-The Force Awakens- I just really didn't like the characters, it was an okay movie. Huh, I had the opposite reaction. The characters are the only good things in the movie to me, the story is just a rehash of A New Hope and is full of contrived absurdities. It's energetic and looks great though, I'll give it that. Actually it amuses me that JJ Abrams has the EXACT same strengths and weaknesses in The Force Awakens as he does in his Star Trek movies. And people pointed them out in the ST movies, but apparently he just didn't care. Yeah I agree it was a rehash of A New Hope but with a girl as the main protagonist, which a believe was the original story for the 1977 version. I think I was just disappointed overall, it got such big hype and for me it was a let down. Kylo Ren had potential to be an awesome bad guy. I'm hoping Rogue One is going to be better, I haven't seen that one yet.

I'm gonna start first with just two movies, and will continue later
Gone Girl- can not explain how much I hated it after the first hour American Beauty
I've always found No Country for Old Men rather dull for it's repeated drawn-out scenes.
