I haven't seen it yet, but for those who did feel free to rate it!

7.8/10
some honest weakness of the film
the 2nd arc of the movie got very predictable in story telling.
last final arc was brought down by the MCU weakness of OOC CGI and heavy action scenes.
some jokes were...... felt out of place.
But overall, this is one of the better mcu movies. as I said already, not even disney can completely dumb down a movie with a black historical heritage.
7.8/10
Grade: B
Verdict: GO See It

I'd give it a solid 8. Right up there with the better half of Marvel.
Truly epic in scope, cinematic marvel. As enjoyable and as fun as movies get. Strong characters, deep thought-provoking themes, if albeit a bit clumsily presented. A pretty awesome bad guy, but met his demise way too easily. It was lacking a bit in the usual Marvel humor, but that's alright.

There was a clip of BP fighting Kilmonger in the underground subway and the CGI looked like something straight out of a PS2 game. I've been told it probably because the CGI wasn't finished. Is this the case??

Are critics overrating it?

I also would give it an 8/10.
There's 18 MCU movies now. If I was to split that into 6 groups of 3 then Black Panther would probably be in the second Tier with Captain America Winter Soldier and Thor Ragnarok.

There was a clip of BP fighting Kilmonger in the underground subway and the CGI looked like something straight out of a PS2 game. I've been told it probably because the CGI wasn't finished. Is this the case?? Yes, I fear mcu use of cgi is becoming too much of a problem. the 2nd arc of the movie had a car chase but it is greatly undermined by cgi and cgi for the sake of getting a cool moment. if I was been fair, the car chase scene reminded me of a much much weaker version of the 2nd arc of TDKR where the police are chasing batman. but this, this is beautiful and feels more real. Nolan in his genius used this grounded and real look in that scene that it made things more emotionally engaging. in BP, it felt way too colourful and unrealistic and ofcourse not to spoil much, there was a big-small joke moment at the end with Lupita Nyong'o character the final arc got worse with cgi am afraid and the subway scene. MCU movies have a problem with how much they rely on colourful cgi to sell their movies. I fear they will not correct this problem with their xmen movies and it is making me very worried.

I voted just to see DC-Fan’s 0 rating.

The Winter Soldier is arguably the greatest CBM ever made. If that is second tier, what the heck is first?

So many bad and mediocre reviews on IMDB and Reddit, saying poor CGI, generic plot, film was too long, nothing much happens first 30 minutes, bad lighting, so-so music--RT Audience has plummeted from 94% to 77% in just one day

Just got back from my second viewing.
9/10
Postives:
+Great cast and Performances. Especially from Michael B Jordan, Lupita and Chadwick!
+Great direction by Ryan Cooglar! He's 3/3 in his career so far. Can't wait to see what he does next!
+Great Score by Ludwig Göransson
+Cinematography by Rachel Morrison is easily the best the MCU has had so far.
The negatives:
- Bad cgi, especially near the end between T'challa and Killmonger.
There's also some terrible green screen in parts of the film.
- my major complaint is the decision to turn killmonger into another clone of Black Panther. I wish they would have modified the suit to look like his comic counterpart, especially since he used the mask earlier.

I give it a 9/10. Almost perfect movie. Not one part felt like it dragged. The underlying messages were powerful. My ONLY gripe? They killed arguably the best MCU villain off WAY too fast.

I say.... 6.5/7
The way it began was great, MBJ was fantastic, but once he left.... the movie kind of deflated, and when he returned it finally got really interesting again.
The music was great, but I wish the cinematography was better, I felt lost in some of the fights.
