Is there forced humor? Are there are danceoffs? Do the villians try to be funny? Does T'Challa at any point pause during a battle and try to be funny?

If whether or not you plan to see this film hinges on the answer to that question, why don't you save us all the headache and keep your money in your (undoubtedly leather) pockets?

I will say yes by 80% but be warned. there are misplaced jokes too.
I think the movie had to be serious for the most part because of black heritage but you still have your mcu jokes and ooc CGI.

A couple misplaced jokes but for the most part I was pleasantly surprised. Important moments don’t get run over by a inserted joke.

It's their most serious movie since Winter Soldier. Black Panther's sister has a few throwaway comic relief lines, but that's it.

Yeah I would say so. It's up there with Winter Soldier.

It's a movie that has a lot of heart, humor, thematic and character depth. It's well paced, a ton of fun and doesn't beat you over the head with forced failed attempts at philosophy. Basically, people like you should probably stick to movies like Batman v Superman.

SPOILER: In another thread I mentioned that you could feel the audience cringe a bit at the "Not another broken white boy for us to fix"... I suppose most of them not realizing that this was a reference to Bucky being in Wakanda after Civil War.

They're probably talking about that bit where M'Baku pretends to be a cannibal to try and scare Ross for a minute before saying "Nah, I'm just fooling with you. We're vegetarians".

So Marvel does it again? Makes another comedy? I don't know about you, but I love comedies. I've never seen a film where I've said, "Man, I wish this had less humor." I've certainly said the opposite many times.

So Marvel does it again? Makes another comedy? No offense, but you could go watch "Braveheart" and say there was too much humor.

I was pleasantly surprised that it was more of a serious film. There weren't that many forced jokes at all.

I cringed when the fight to rule Wakanda had to be interrupted for a completely unnecessary/ horribly misplaced joke about how uncomfortable it is wearing corsets.

The answer to your questions is all no except for the forced humour one. That's a bit more arguable what with the "What are thoooose" joke but compared to the other movies there isn't as much of it.
It's more serious than most of the movies, like Winter Soldier.
