Veruca Salt 2 people: Thomson Twins I was going to mention Veruca Salt. When the band released their first album, I was thinking....Where have I heard that name before?
She was one of the winners of a Golden Ticket in the Roald Dahl classic book "Charlie & The Chocolate Factory".
I am a HUGE fan of the movie "Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory", BTW.
---------
As well, I raise the joke whenever the Thompson Twins is mentioned:
Why are they called the Thompson Twins when there are THREE of them?
It was later revealed they are named after 2 characters in The Adventures Of Tintin (from Wikipedia).
Makes sense.

The Doobie Brothers (they're neither "brothers," nor are any of their last names "Doobie".)
