Maze Runner - Death cure / 6 (solid ending, but the entire maze-idea from the first made no longer sense) Red Sparrow / 6 (Lawrence nude, hence satisfying) Avengers - Infinity War / 7,5 (but it could dramatically change if they undo the ending in the next installment) A quiet Place / 6 (I wanted to like this movie so much, but I was really disappointed) Only four movies so far...and I go every week on the program list of "my" cineplex, and nearly every week I'm like...nope, nope, nope...shit, nothing again to watch. Sicario 2 is without Emil Blunt, the reason why I watched and liked the first one. The Purge is a "praise diversity"-movie. I can't identify myself with them, and isn't it them who cry for black roles for they can't identify with us?! But only white people are racists... Mission: Impossible only a 5, out of 10, DC-Fan ? I thought it was great. This is the first Mission Impossible movie I've seen since the first one. I didn't like the first movie because it completely butchered the TV series. They made Jim Phelps, who was the lead character in the TV series, be a traitor who killed the rest of his team and then killed him off and replaced him with a brand new lead character who was never even in the TV series. That would be like if a Star Trek movie had Captain Kirk be a traitor who killed the rest of his crew and then Kirk gets killed and replaced by a brand new lead character who was never even in any previous Star Trek movie or TV show. It was just a lame way to make Tom Cruise the star of the franchise and leverage the Mission Impossible brand even though the movie franchise doesn't have any characters from the TV series. After that first movie, I didn't watch any more Mission Impossible movies. The only reason I went to see this one was because my sister was visiting from out-of-town during the Labor Day weekend and she wanted to go see a movie. We both already saw Crazy Rich Asians so there wasn't anything else I wanted to see so she wanted to see Mission Impossible. |
