Whatever Christianity is made up of, it doesn't concern you and you lack the intellect, experience, & wisdom to make a judgement about it & me despite your desperate need to judge. Why, oh why??? do Christian, mostly fundies have this mantra of 'it doesn't concern you' and 'none of your business' when addressing others who disagree, especially in the USA when, despite the amendment about separation of church and state, the views of fundy Christians are often reflected in politics and policy? I wonder where the judgement is really stemming from??? Denial is always a cloak that comes in handy, but my oh my, how transparent and brittle the fabric is.

We can't have a gay Jesus now can we. What would erjen think? As with most of the other Christians on this board I am starting to case less and less what they think, if they are really Christians and not poes, they are mostly bottom of the barrel Christians in my mind, who have failed to think through what they believe. Interestingly the one who actually seems to think a little seems to have trouble communicating his thoughts, it's a pity as it seems like he and I have a lot in common. It's when a delusional mind, takes over from a rational one.

I'm not sure about any indoctrination step— is there one—or what your beliefs are. But yes, I would say both Christianity and Islam operate from a delusional mindset. You made a comment though about bottom of the barrel Christians, which is what I was largely referring too.

People tend to be whatever the most popular religion is where they are born. Blacks born in a Christian country such as the US will tend to be Christian. Blacks born in a predominantly Muslim country will probably be Muslim. The most sensible thing anybody has said in this thread.

Because it doesn't. I'm not a fundy of course, but I would be hard pressed to see what fundies have actually done that could be considered a success until that idiot Trump was elected. Abortion legal, gay marriage is legal, wedding cakes must be baked for all, boinking is readily available and encouraged, porn is rampant, weed is legal, gambling, liquor, & an atheist based education system. You are even allowed to hate religious people! You name it, we got it! It's the hedonist dream in the US so clearly you aren't here and yet you're in here whining about what your white ancestors did to black people.

I hear you, butt the problem is that they keep such stuff on the 'agenda'...ie abortion, closing down Family First, lack of gun control ( the ultimate irony one would think ) and all those things you said. I know you disapprove from your religious perspective, butt it really is a matter of freedom of choice v. Christian based dogma being applied to all in a plural secular society. Sir, I will have you know that apart from being royal on one side of my family, on the other side my ancestors were religious Methodist 'Protectors of the Blacks' in Australia and whilst they did a bloody awful job of it...they tried.

No I would not say so, for example non-delusional beliefs I hold: The sun will come up tomorrow and gravity works The vast majority of scientists are truthful and good at what they do so we can trust what they say

They don't see it as dogma though, it is the way it is supposed to be, so go figure! It's about arguing for their own hedonist dream, based through religious teachings and musings, and yet coming from the same double standards and mind control space.

As I was explaining elsewhere, private property and fidelity ought to be important for the same reasons, but it doesn't play out that way. To too many Republicans if you are smart enough to buy the best producing oil wells it doesn't matter what you do in your social life you're a winner, and if you are not smart enough or don't have enough money then it also doesn't matter what you do in your social life you're a loser. They do not want any social issues getting in the way of their money. Republicans who believe Trump will help them with any religious issue simply because he appointed Gorsuch to the Supreme Court are pathetic.

It just exists as it does and is what it is. A delusional belief, is a thought of something that is not quite as tangible. It is only a belief in the "mind" of the beholder, not a scientific fact.
