Pretty good action-thriller vehicle for the almighty Charles Bronson. He's in fine form, but the show is largely stolen by the hilarious Al Lettieri as the hot tempered mafia hit man. The good supporting cast also includes the lovely ladies Linda Cristal & Lee Purcell, and Frank Maxwell, Taylor Lacher, and Alejandro Rey. That's not to mention Paul Koslo, who was to the 1970s what David Patrick Kelly was to the 1980s: the quintessential movie weasel.

Paul Koslo, who was to the 1970s what David Patrick Kelly was to the 1980s: the quintessential movie weasel. They dont make sleazy scumbags like they used to. I love how Bronson takes care of business, and this scene is just one of many bad ass moments from, Mr. Majestyk. One of my favorite 70s Bronson titles along with Hard Times (1975), Death Wish (1974) and The Mechanic (1972). Fantastic action-packed movie with Charlie Bronson in his absolute prime, the great Al Lettieri as the likeable but still dangerous villain and as you mentioned above, it comes along with some fine looking ladies, but it would not have worked, if not for all those poor watermelons, who so bravely gave up their lives, for the sake of great art.

Colorado watermelon massacre was indeed a heartbreaking scene but the movie as a whole was nothing but average. Mr. Majestyk's plan to right all wrongs doesn't make any sense but at the same time the movie is a bit too slow-paced to work as a trash movie similar to Bronson's Cannon period works. I agree that the cast is great though.

"Mr. Majestyk" is great. They don't come any better than Charles Bronson.
