The Indianapolis scene is why I love movies, and this movie in particular. The opening with Chrissie Watkins on her final night swim. "Michael! Did you hear your father? Out of the water! NOW!"

The Indianapolis Scene are #1, #2 and #3. Amazing acting. Watch how Dreyfuss and Shaw both change gears when the Indianapolis is brought up.

Quints story...actually that whole thing from when theyβre comparing scars to singing songs.
The opening.
When they first put barrels on him. Itβs got such an adventurous theme. Takes a step back from the horror of the previous ones.

1. Quint's Indianapolis speech. 2. Hooper's narrow escape from the cage as the shark demolishes it. He's smart enough to take refuge on the seabed instead of trying to climb back into the boat.
3. And I always liked the scene where there's a town meeting to discuss what they should do. Suddenly the chaos is silenced by fingernails on a chalkboard and we first meet Quint. His knowledge, his confidence and the way he speaks convinces me that this man is a professional and knows what he's doing.

- 'Can we go home now?'... old guys 'fishing' at night
- 'Here lies the body of Mary Lee; died at the age of a hundred and three. For fifteen years she kept her virginity; not a bad record for this vicinity.'... Orca prep
- 'Okay, so we drink to our legs'... entire night scene in the Orca
