The last surviving star of the classic movie THE BAND WAGON, has passed away at age 97.
Besides films and TV, she was also an accomplished stage actress, and the aunt of Shelly Fabres, whose marriage to Mike Farrell occurred in Ms. Fabray's home.
May she rest in peace.

I was thinking that anti-Semite Billy Graham should rest in PIECES when I made that goof. And I'll post wherever I damned well please! One thing I really liked about the old format--the "Ignore" option!

Lovely lady who was much more than someone's aunt This would probably have been her reaction to being told to "rest in pieces".
Fondly admired and remembered with a smile.

I remember her best for playing the grandma on the sitcom One Day at a Time, her appearances on The Love Boat, and the movie Harper Valley P.T.A.

In this case snsurone thanks for the notice! For The Band Wagon and an underrated Disney movie called Amy 1981 I love THE BAND WAGON; it's one of my favorite movies. My particularly favorite number is "Triplets". Absolutely hilarious, even after repeated viewings. Bit of trivia: Oscar Levant was scheduled to be in that number, but he came down with one of his "illnesses", and Nanette stepped in. Real trouper!

I remember her best for playing the grandma on the sitcom One Day at a Time, her appearances on The Love Boat, and the movie Harper Valley P.T.A. To be honest, I didn't like the character of Katherine on ODAAT. Always meddling in Ann's private affairs! She should have married Schneider!
