I'm going with opening scenes and not linking videos. Since The Godfather and 2001 are spoken for...
1. Touch of Evil. Chuck Heston, Janet Leigh and a bomb. Welles, you magnificent bastard. 2. Vertigo. The rooftop chase and James Stewart hanging from a roof. 3. Once Upon a Time in the West. Jack Elam and the fly. Two horses too many 4. A Clockwork Orange. "There was me, that is Alex, and my three droogs, that is Pete, Georgie, and Dim" 5. Goodfellas. A clunk in the trunk

Well, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring has already been mentioned, so my remaining four would be...
Casino Royale (2006).
Deadpool (2016).
Gladiator (2000).
Superman (1978).

A couple I like that haven't been mentioned
Satantango:
and from the other end of the spectrum, TAG (unfortunately this clip isn't the full scene, there's a little more build up/mood setting at the beginning):

-Lord of War (2005) - Follows the bullet from production til it's use. -Once Upon a Time in the West (1968) - as mentioned above the 'two horses too many' area.
I could probably come up with some others but Lord of War's intro area is the first one that came to mind and after reading other posts above I added Once Upon a Time in the West but ill just stop here for now.

I posted 5 opening scenes, but # 1 is a tie between The Shining and this (one of the greatest and strongest ever), IMO.
Apocalypse Now opening scene
