I’m going to nominate Buck Taylor (Aka Newly from Gunsmoke, Aka veteran character actor Dub Taylor’s son) who in later years, became a somewhat successful western themed artist. I always liked Newly, and he was probably my favorite Gunsmoke character.

wanton87 I never in all the years of watching Gunsmoke realized that he was Dub's son. Both favorites ! I found this on his IMDB page : Buck Taylor is a Artist who continues to attend annual shows and events, such as the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo, to promote our Western Heritage through his watercolor paintings in between movie roles. Very fond of Western Art, Thanks !

MARILYN MONROE Monroe's painting of a red rose was inscribed to JFK and meant as a birthday gift. Apparently it was never delivered and so the artist re-gifted it to herself, writing below the original note, "Happy Birthday Marilyn, June 1, 1962, My Best Wishes, Marilyn." In 2005 it was sold for $78,000.

Peter Cushing also painted, and Patrick Troughton did some rather impressive recreations of famous paintings.
John Carradine was a sculptor and I believe worked as an apprentice on the Lincoln memorial.

EDIT: Found reference that Carradine was apprenticed as a teen to Daniel Chester French who sculpted the Lincoln Memorial statue which was then carved by the Piccirilli Brothers. In 1920, Carradine would have been 18 years old.

Cushing co-star Veronica Carlson is also a painter-illustrator. You can find pics of her sketching Christopher Lee on the set of Dracula Has Risen From the Grave.
