I already did. (See above.) Also: This website does not use audio ads, popups, or other annoyances."we do not sanction these types of ads. No matter what site/forum you visit on the internet this can happen if these ads make it into the rotation of the ad providers. We take violation of our ad criteria very seriously and do our best to eradicate them as soon as we are informed." - Scott, ProBoards Admin support.proboards.com/thread/579224/advertisements-over-audioPlease report ad violations by clicking "Report Ad" at the bottom of the page. Thanks. We KNOW you don't 'do' audio and video ads, the site is not the problem. My worry us I regards to the posters creating these polls. Are they including these sites on purpose? I doubt it. I recently had some annoying pop-up ads on the mobile version of this forum that were fairly frequent for a week or two, but they eventually stopped. The bottom line is that there just isn't much I can about the ads as they are handled exclusively by ProBoards and their ad servers. All I can do is report them, just like anyone else here. The more reports they get, the less likely we are to be spammed with these nuisances. So the next time you get an annoying ad, blame those who never report.

Yesterday I was on the RFS board, I clicked on a link posted by another user, my computer went to that news site and within seconds, I got a warning to not shut down my computer and call tech support, whose number was listed. They told me that my computer had been hacked, and it was spyware, not a virus for which I pay ESET NOD32 for. It has taken hours and $300 paid to a tech support company to get my computer back. The representative urged me to use adblock so that this wouldn't happen again. Now, when I log on here, I get a message from ProBoards to turn off my adblock. Sorry, but that isn't going to happen. If you want to charge me a monthly fee for using this board, I will consider if being on this board is worth the price, but I am not turning off my adblock program.
Yeah, the warning was the virus. When I get those, I close my browser and empty my cache. They're scams.
