Nice gesture, but let's be honest...$1 million is chump change considering the money this is raking in.

I mean it's nice of them to donate it, but it reminds me of Activision donating a million to some veteran fundraiser.
You're a multi billion company, couldn't you just do a little more than a million?

Wonder Woman could have opened that purse for the Girl Scouts of America. One million dollars is a lot of stale short-bread cookies that girls in knee socks don't have to sell.

Yes, because the average individual's disposal wealth is even remotely comparable to a transnational corporation worth billions. A million dollars in 2018 isn't shit.

Good for them, but this is 100% PR. Of course it's PR. But does it really matter? Or do you feel better because you see through their deception?

The way some of you are talking about it is like the fact that they donated some money is worse than if they hadn’t donated any.

That's a pretty bad PR move. They'd have been better off donating nothing. Donating $1 million only serves to highlight how stingy they are. Disney couldn't drop a 30 second advert on TV, showing Mickey Mouse farting, for less than $1 million. And before anyone starts carping about how the kids benefiting from the donation wouldn't agree - Disney could have donated the money and kept it quiet. If donating the money was their main concern then there was no need to turn it into a PR exercise. If they want to use it as PR then they should donate more.

We’ll, since you’re so passionate about the issue, why don’t you start a petition? Not sure how a company that’s about to be 52 billion dollars light can suddenly afford to loosen the purse stings. Call me a stone cold capitalist... 🤑
